ASH17LCFC Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Please do not appoint Walsh.I think it would be a complete disaster. No doubt he'd want Tags with him as well. Just because he's an ex player doesn't mean he has what it takes to get us out of this league let alone try and keep us in the Premiership. We need stability now, I'm sure as hell Walsh wont give us that. JUST A EX PLAYER ?! Walsh isn't just a ex player ... No one will come here now. Get him in now milan.
Simi Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 JUST A EX PLAYER ?! Walsh isn't just a ex player ... No one will come here now. Get him in now milan. What else is he then? A legend? :worship: BBC Commentator? Pisshead?
maddog Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 What else is he then?A legend? :worship: BBC Commentator? Pisshead? well weve already given Megson, Allen a try. We shall give Dowie a try if you like and in 6 weeks time, give Walsh a try. Then even give Milan a try as chairman/manager if you like
Webbo Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 What else is he then?A legend? :worship: BBC Commentator? Pisshead? You missed 'fanny hound'.
Jay Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 my thoughts on this matter.... on one hand I think no way but on the other hand with an experianced team behind him I sort of think f**k it can't be any worse than monkey head!!
davieG Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Well he sounded pissed on SSN, mind you the phone line was dodgy
ASH17LCFC Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Walsh would have the crowd on his side and he wouldn't take no crap. Get Little in with him to help him out and we would be ok for this season ... Who else ? Dowie
Monk Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 We won't get Paul Jewell. I completely and utterly agree
DanTheFox07 Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 It'd be a mistake to appoint Walsh. Ive just Heard Walsh talking on skysports news talking about the fact that he watches leicester play and he thinks that the team lacks leadership and organisation. While i dont think Walsh is qualified with coaching badges etc, we do need someone to install discipline and motivate them! i install much more faith in Walsh than other managers we are being linked with. If u look at Martin o`neil he isnt in really in charge of tactics, he has coaches around him in john robertson and steve walford. So when u look at it o`neil motivates the players and he is the best guy in the buisness at this and robertson and walford do the coaching and tactics. We need a similar set up, we need a man to motivate our players because they clearly arent at the moment and at the same time we need a first team coach. Bearing all of this in mind I do believe Mandaric wants Dowie but only time will tell.
Guest seanfox778 Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 I think we should get Walsh in maybe as a coach though, he's not ready to take on a managers job yet

We can all see the team lacks leadership and organisation and we're all passionate it doesn't mean we'd make good managers. As for MON he did/does decide the tactics he just doesn't get involved in the training.
jonw88 Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 I think he should be involved somehow. Has Taggart got any coaching badges? If so then maybe he should be manager with Stevey as a coach. DREAM COMBINATION!
ASH17LCFC Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 I think we should get Walsh in maybe as a coach though, he's not ready to take on a managers job yet He is ready, he wanted the job back 2000 with Cottee. Walsh would never apply for another or take another managers job because he only wants the leicester job. He don't wanna piss about in the lower league and try with a club he don't care about. The man should get the job because he wants it the most.
Moreton Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 See i told everyone that walshie is a good candidate in the other thread
ithuriel Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 he needs to prove himself first in managing a lower league club. he could be brilliant or he could make a total mess of things. four ex-leicester players for comparison are shilton -made a mess of things and a major gambling addiction if i remember. claridge- ended up getting the sack. gary mills-ended up getting the sack. simon grayson - doing alright at present with blackpool.

As for MON he did/does decide the tactics he just doesn't get involved in the training. Nobody not even i can say if Walsh would be a success as manager! but looking at the feedback from most fan`s on here would be great to have him as a coach at least. I agree with what u say but look at all our previous managers they all lack passion and a knowledge of this club and id rather have Walsh over Dowie, because i think Dowie is another megson.
Milky Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 As Shane Mcmahon would say, "you've got....no chance! du du du du du. No chance in hell....you've got.....no chance! du du du du du..."
Hullfox Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Is it only me that thinks the arguments put up for Walsh as manager are just plain idiocy? He's Leicester through and through - whoopy doo. There are people here who are Leicester through and through and I have to say plenty of whom I would not want to see in any job let alone managing a football club. He's a legend - Give him the job and he'll be a coont to most of you in three months. On the pitch he gave us everything. What he lacked in ability, he more than made up for with passion. Surely though you can see that as it stands today he is not the ideal person to manage this football club. What makes it worse is that I'm sure that some of you actually believe the guff that you write.
Simi Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Is it only me that thinks the arguments put up for Walsh as manager are just plain idiocy? No, it's not just you.
Monk Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Ha wasn't shane's music "Here comes the money"? Milan should come out to that music. In fact. That "No Chance" song would be an awesome alternative to the PHG
Hullfox Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 No, it's not just you. Form a circle with the wagons Ched. I think we're in for a long night.
Simi Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Form a circle with the wagons Ched. I think we're in for a long night. Legend! Hullfox in.
davieG Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Form a circle with the wagons Ched. I think we're in for a long night. 3 would make a better circle - count me in!

What makes it worse is that I'm sure that some of you actually believe the guff that you write. Disagree mate. Players feed off passion. Wash = Passion. Get a qualified 'unknown' coach to tick the FA's boxes and give advice on tactics. THe only problem I really see with walsh is that he strikes me as rather single minded and one dimensional. You KNOW it will be 4-4-2 Big man Little man up front, 2 big centre backs, a hard man and a creative man in the middle. I agree, dont give him the job because he's a legend, but I think the trade off between what Walshy has to offer vs Dowie, Walsh gets my vote.
Webbo Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 3 would make a better circle - count me in! Is there room in that wagon for me?
