Form a circle with the wagons Ched. I think we're in for a long night.

Get on Walshy!!! He talks the talk, he knows the game inside out, fcuk all these badges etc if you know the game you will do well. I will take Walshy he is city through and through and i think some of that passion will rub off on some of these useless fcuk pots who have no passion for the shirt at all. I can also see walshy giving them a roasting at HT these guys need a boot up the back side and i think this guy might just do it.

Passion, energy, commitment, and beleif is all you need to succeed. Waslhy has all of it and will install it into the other players.

i dont understand the negativity of some, "hel mess up and ruin his reputation blah blah" dont you think every player thinks that before they go onto managing but you need to start somewhere and i dunno bout you but i think id rather start and take the risk at the club i truly love, then goto some legue two side.

Go for it Walshy you deserve the chance, and even if you mess up il still love you!!

Is it only me that thinks the arguments put up for Walsh as manager are just plain idiocy?

He's Leicester through and through - whoopy doo. There are people here who are Leicester through and through and I have to say plenty of whom I would not want to see in any job let alone managing a football club.

He's a legend - Give him the job and he'll be a coont to most of you in three months.

On the pitch he gave us everything. What he lacked in ability, he more than made up for with passion. Surely though you can see that as it stands today he is not the ideal person to manage this football club.

What makes it worse is that I'm sure that some of you actually believe the guff that you write.

Oh because the other managers we've had since MON have been great  They are R-E-A-L managers with coaching badges and experience. DID FOOK ALL AND LESS. Walsh WITH SOMEONE LIKE LITTLE to give him abit of help wouldn't be bad. Walsh knows what the fans want and he knows the squad pretty well having watched them all season. Who else is leicester through and through with 14 years playing experience at leicester then ?

Is there room in that wagon for me?

Yep 3 up front and 21000 (LCFC style counting :D ) in the back.

I'll take the job then, I know what the fans want, I've watched them all season in fact I've watched them for 45 seasons and I've played a few games, hey I've even refereed a fair few as well as run the line. And I'm definitely Leicester through and through. Besides it's only for a few weeks. :D

Cant see Milan taking the risk!

Yes, he's a city legend blah blah blah but i think Milan will play it safe this time, an ex player who's been out the game for years with no badges or genuine experience who's partial to a bit of the old sexy time with payers wives(allegedly).

No way will Milan go down that road!!

Not jumping on any bandwagon but.. Everyone has to start somewhere.

He's seen the problems and reckons he has a fair chance of sorting alot of them out and hearing him on the radio he sounds like he knows a fair bit of whats wrong and how to solve it.

lol, no i meant someone with 14 years experience in professional football. The man has captained us to a league cup win FFS. Hardly like he doesn't know the ins and outs of football. He has played under are best ever manager, so hardly like he hasn't picked up no bits and pieces along the way. A real mans man, would get the team working hard and with LITTLE to give him some experience could easy work. Still could get Grayson in and get Walshie on the management team.

Nah he definitely fits the Harry Redknapp identikit.

That counts for nothing in management tho!

How much did Kenny Dalglish,Mark Lawrenson,Jan Molby and John Barnes win with Liverpool?

All shite managers.

if MM is gonna take a risk with an ex-city player, it's gonna be taggart, so i think walshie is way down the list...

i wouldn't be surprised if burrows get's it (assuming he'd want it) i read somewher he is a quality manager, wasn't someone else after him????

Well I heard he was the the one behind the success Megson had at West Brom, I know we have said this before and it's not worked but i'd rather go for a bigger name, more well know proven record than him though.

Totally agree with you mate, best man for the job without a doubt. He will get the players up for everything and will not be shy to say what he thinks to the players who think that they are to big for the club.

Be honest, you lot.

If he came in and had an absolute NIGHTMARE, and we were losing 4-0 at home, would you be chuckling to yourselves and saying 'Good old Walshie' or would you be howling 'You don't know what you're doing' and 'Walsh OUT'? His legendary status would count for nowt if he died on his arse.

I appreciate that he's regarded with affection and was a fantastic servant to the club but he's about as well qualified for the job as we are. Does anyone actually read his column in the Mercury or listen to what he says on the radio? It's all just cliches and sabre rattling. No substance. Great for whipping the fans into a frenzy and local media punditry, but for winning football matches? It takes a bit more than that, I suspect. MON, Mourinho, Ferguson, Wenger, Benitez etc are all passionate but they've all got some brain cells as well

But surely every manager who manages the team who they have played for most of their career has that risk. It would be the same as Roy Keane going to be the manager of United in a few years time. Come on even if were losing 4-0 i think the fans would still want him to be the manager, and knowing him he would give them a massive bollocking and they would go out next week and win 4-0.

Hold on, you seem to have brains and I bet you're pretty passionate about Leicester.

That's just not going to cut it in football.

Yeah, i think his passion alone would offer us a damn sight more than Megson did, maybe get him assistant to dowie whilst he gets his coaching badges and experience for the future

I agree, Walsh needs to be involved more with the club. You never know, he may be the next Roy Keane :dunno:

At first id have said no to Walshy but after hearing what he has said he really wants it Possibly ask the likes of Dowie and Grayson whoever he has on his shortlist if they say no why not Walshy he has the passion he wont mince his words with the players he'd have the fans backing we could do a lot worse. However would probably prefer to see him as coach/assistant.

This would be my first choice appointment. Everyone has to start somewhere, he seems confident, he knows as much as us fans what needs doing. His hearts in Leicester, he wouldn't risk his reputation if it didn't work out for him here.

With all the managers we've had recently and all the qualifications, experience and crap, did it count for anything? What did Megson appear to do that any old Joe couldnt?
