S1DDO Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 Pro Walsh = No sense, knows nothing about the game.
Manwell Pablo Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 1) Correct.2) Babylon is not only one of my favourite posters (de jour) but is also one of my favourite David Gray songs. And yes, I'm in to middle of the road singer songwriters with a slight accent. I thought it was the only David Gray song I've always wondered what happens at David Gray concerts, I thought maybe he just played Bablyon over and over again, or maybe did some stand up/magic tricks inbetween singing Babylon.

This year's love had better laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast, this year's love had better last. BE MINE BE MINE! SAIL AWAY WITH ME (HONEY) DA DA DA DA DA .
Bellend Sebastian Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 This year's love had better laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast, this year's love had better last.BE MINE BE MINE! SAIL AWAY WITH ME (HONEY) DA DA DA DA DA . Please stop. Fenton for manager! etc
Toby or not Toby Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 Grayson and Walsh combo! Grayson to pick team, Walshy to motivate etc!
Master Fox Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 I don't often do this but.... Pro Walsh = Moron. Given the choice, Walsh or Megson? The whole Walsh concept does seem slightly odd, but we don’t know what the alternatives are? For all we know Peter Reid might already have his feet under the desk while we sit here and slag off Pro Walsh morons. I’m keeping an open mind to all suggestions, because whatever happens we’ve still got a fcucking useless set of players.
danny. Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 This year's love had better laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast, this year's love had better last.BE MINE BE MINE! SAIL AWAY WITH ME (HONEY) DA DA DA DA DA . 4 songs then... still a short gig! Maybe that's for the best though
The People's Hero Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 Grayson and Walsh combo! Grayson to pick team, Walshy to motivate etc! Grayson is a fine motivator anyway. I'm fed up of this 2 man thing. Give it to one sodding guy. 4 songs then... still a short gig! Maybe that's for the best though What I neglected to mention is that all of these songs are the same!
Babylon Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 Given the choice, Walsh or Megson? Thankfully there are more choices out there and we have 300k compo in our pocket.

The People's Hero Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 Personally I think we should have a management team that includes everyone from the Derby play off final victory. I'd be behind that actually, just because it's completely bizarre and they are all heroes. Especially Mike Whitlow. I'd give Mike Whitlow the job. Not only is the man a complete uncompromising brute but he could play at left-back for us.
Kilworthfox Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no a million times no.Idiotic idea. Why Fez?
teblin Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 He's not a football manager. Agreed. If its any of the former players it would be grayson or maybe taggs.
hairy Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 He's not a football manager. Totally agree with you Fez. I cant believe people want him as a manager. Assistant trainee manager maybe but we are a relatively big club who needs a manager not a pub team coach. Yes Walshie has a commitment to Leicester and will no doubt always put his name forward to rally the fans behind him but come on he is not a manager.
Zingari Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 He's not a football manager. if by not being a "football manager" means not doing the stupid things that the last 5 or 6 "football managers" have done then it may not be such a bad thing ; surely anyone could see if he was appointed it would probably be alongside a capable assistant who'd handle alot of the affairs ( no pun on walshies reputation intended )

After all, you're mainly talking about Rob Kelly who wasn't a football manager either. So really you're supporting my argument.

So really you're supporting my argument. you don't think using the argument " he's not a football manager " is simplistic ; how do they become football managers ? are they born into ; is there some devine intervention that makes them ? no someone at some stage takes the chance and gives them the job , and they become football managers , who are either good bad or somewhere in between , just like alex ferguson ; bill shankley and brian clough among the greats and frank mclintock bobby charlton among the crap no-one knows until they get the chance but walshies carachter seems to me to be more akin the better ones than the crap ones

It didn't work with Kelly and I don't see why it would work with Walsh? Managers should start at a lower level than this if they want to manage a club like ours, not just waltz into a big club with the pressure and expectation that's attached - just because they used to play for us. Fair enough you would be willing to take the risk but personally I wouldn't trust this football club to be managed by a beginner. It needs someone who has an idea what he's doing.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 I'm repeating myself for which I apologise, but as far as I'm aware, Walsh has never expressed any interest in football management other than on a couple of occasions when the City hotseat has been vacant. If he were serious about it, why has he never taken his coaching badges or cut his teeth in another lower profile job? He isn't serious about being taken on by Leicester because he knows full well he hasn't got a snowball's chance in hell of being given the job, but if he puts his name in the hat it gets everyone talking about it and it's good for his ego
Micky Ruddle Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 Steve Walsh Leicester Boss or maybe not... Sounds good though
Brainy Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 Lets just hope these people on the Walsh bandwagon don't want promotion within the next two years.
breadandcheese Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 Shouldn't the title of this thread be changed to "Walsh wants a job"?
Kilworthfox Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 He's not a football manager. Agreed that he has never managed before, but that means he has never succeded or failed. Does he deserve a chance? Also are the likes of Megson & co really up to the job? What is this great fear of the unknown Walsh failure or success?
Sods Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 Quality player, will always be a ledgend at the club. Leave it there walsh and always be a hero.
