Seriously, Walsh would be one of the worst appointments in living history. Dowie has a proven record, knows what's required to be a manager, from the intricacies of signing a player to tinkering formations. Walsh knows how to bang a chairman's daughter and that's about it.

Happy enougth with Dowie if thats what it comes to, there is far, far, FAR worse we could be landed with IMHO and Dowie is a decent enougth shout considering where we are at (improvment on Megson at any rate!).

I think you underestimate the guy his experience of banging goes much further than that

football aint rocket science and methinks a lot of the problems are actually caused by over complication

We can end up with far worse wannabe-managers, so Dowie would be a blessing if this thing is true.

Let's face it, no matter who we get as manager, some people are always going to say "not him".

You cannot please everyone no matter what you do.

I'm just pleased to hear that Milans not wasting any time in trying to bring someone in.

At the moment he appears to be one of the managers who would come here.

Let's face it, he does have a decent track record.

Who ever we get, we should all give them our full support to hopefully take our club onto better things.

Erm... Brian Clough had one of the sharpest footballing brains around. He may have preached simplicity in football but that belittles his tactical and managerial abilities. Listen to his old interviews and you can see he is pretty damn intelligent, quick witted and extremely sharp. Don't let the fact he wore a flat cap or spoke with a northern accent fool you.
