He's not bald Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Superb stuff. This is getting silly now,the new manager is going to have to do eveningwear and swimwear, then talk about how he want's world peace...wear a tiara and a sash when he get's the gig and not sleep with any of the players!

I thought everyone had already agreed Milan's a bit of a cock? Unfortunately he's the cock who owns the club, so we just have to hope he acts like a cock as little as possible. This is getting silly now,the new manager is going to have to do eveningwear and swimwear, then talk about how he want's world peace...wear a tiara and a sash when he get's the gig and not sleep with any of the players! What a ridiculous demand. No manager would agree to that.

Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 all these reliable sources - absolute rubbish. More than likely his mates mums cousin 2nd removed 3rd husband divorced ex wife previous husband works in the ticket office of something. All speculation
joely22 Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Funny Ched, I swear I saw you holding hands with her earlier Or maybe it was her:
Flynny Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 You'd know. I'm well clever and hilarious, me. Cutting edge humour, this is.

Ajax Treesdown Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Fooked Charlton up though didn't he. No, that was Les Reed
Joe. Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Personally I think Dowie will get it. It's been clear in the past that Milan likes him, and I'm confident he'd be willing to leave Coventry without any great fuss.

I agree. I'd prefer Dowie to the other candidates touted 6 weeks ago: Reid, Roeder, etc. If Bolton went for Megson - there's obviously a lack of great candidates out there. At least we know that Milan likes Dowie (although he liked Megson - so not too sure on his judgement skills). I can see Dowie building up a better relationship with the crowd than Megson would ever have done. We should be thankful to Gartside & gladly move on (whoever Milan picks). PS: anyone want a Chelsea ticket?
Strokes Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 Not ideal but i would support Dowie, anythings gotta be better than GM.
Hackneyisblue Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 Bob If you've got a Chelsea ticket going spare there are plenty of takers on Foxfanzine http://boards.rivals.net/default.asp?sid=8...142&style=2 MacFox wants 3
Sooper Steve's shin Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 Talk of Sloth from the Goonies is silly - we need someone intelligent...
leicesterseddon Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 i'd rather have dowie than walsh or grayson. of course I like walsh and grayson a hell of a lot more, but after years in the shite i also want to see the team go forward. i want the best man for the job...not a mate. the megson appointment shows the dangers of trying to make a 'fans' choice'...megson (being v. unpopular) was only ever going to be appointed alongside a fans' favourite (i.e. taggart). this was obvious from the start, as gerry was taken on by the club although his 'exact role' was 'yet to be specified'. not once did the fans really sing megsons name, but rather it was always 'gerry taggart's blue&white army' or 'gerry, sort it out'. it's no wonder megson felt undermined and soon wanted to leave. managers should always have to win the respect of the fans and become popular. being popular from the start is only a bonus...the decision should be made on track record.

Koke Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 We are not really in a position to be picky. We are not a Prem side anymore. We been absolute dire for the past 4 years or so. And Iain Dowie is not a bad choice. Up until this financial turmoil started at Coventry, he was doing rather well. Simon Grayson is a newbie and has done **** all in this division so far. What makes you so sure he'll succeed here. Remember, our expectations are a higher than Blackpools. I want the best man for the job, not my best friend or who I like the most.

Solihullfox Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 Have posted this in General Sport section but the Dowie situation may well be resolved one way or the other sooner rather than later. I have just heard from a reliable source that the Coventry City Board has just started a meeting where one of the following will happen, either Acceptance of one of the buy out bids (if any) OR Administration The meeting will produce one of these outcomes.
Milky Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 So when's this fair haired bastard joining then? Snooowwwww maaaannnnn.
