Phube Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 TBH I think I'll risk it rather than cut it out!! BBC
Guest Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 Nobody, I repeat, nobody is going to stop me going out for a night on the piss and having a bacon sandwich in the morning.
Rincewind Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 I have just done myself a bacon cob before I( logged on, Am I going to bin it? No way.
Bojimha Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 People are quite entitled to carry on eating bacon and other pork at the end of the day its effects there body and no one elses just don't force your kids who don't know better to eat it!
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 So 3 Million people, in the world, get cancer due to their lifestyle each year, out of 10 milllion diagnosis, and 6 Billion people. I think I'll take my chances, I've packed in smoking what more do they want.

I don't know who, but I will.
Babylon Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 A) Live til 75 and die of cancer having enjoyed years of eating bacon. b) Live to 90 pissing and shitting yourself in an old peoples home but having never eaten a crispy bacon sarnie covered in brown sauce.

Charnwood Norris Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 Bollocks. My great grandma lived of bacon sarnies and pork dripping, she lived to be 88. Some are genetically protected some arn not I suppose. As long as it's moderation, you'll be fine. 8 rashers lasts me 2 weeks. I'm more concerned about these power lines that hum. The car radio conks out every time pass under one. They really do sound cancerous and wouldn't want to live near one of those big ***k**s.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 If they tell me that stodgy white bread and tomato ketchup is bad for you, I shall do some harm to somebody. I don't know who, but I will. Tommy K is good for you (apart from the salt and sugar) because there's something weird that happens to processed tomatoes that make them as beneficial as eating them fresh. Or something. I've just eaten two bacon sandwiches, and there is a history of bowel cancer in my family. It was nice knowing y'all
The People's Hero Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 I'm going to eat a bacon sarnie, smoke 50 cigarettes, chew on some asbestos and then roll around in some radioactive sludge tonight. If I'm not dead by tomorrow morning, I plan to write a book about it. Has anyone read my other book?
Kent Fox Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 So 3 Million people, in the world, get cancer due to their lifestyle each year, out of 10 milllion diagnosis, and 6 Billion people. I think I'll take my chances, I've packed in smoking what more do they want. My Dad never smoked and died of bone cancer, after fighting of both skin and prostrate cancer. Never fcuking smoked!! He did eat bacon, mind. My thoughts are changing on cancer - from talking to people over the last depressing week, it seems we all have it in us, it's just what triggers it off to kill us. Although I wasn't really listening so that might not be 100% factual. So, fook 'em all - I have learned this week that life is too short to worry about what will give us cancer. In fact, the worry of dying of it will most likely cause it. Pass the bacon!

Or something. Aha, you raise a good point. The Ketch is supposed to help prevent cancer, so should negate the badness of the crispy bacon. Cheers!

Your dad would have been proud of the Leicester efforts last night, on the pitch and off it (the support). Have yourself a nice bacon sandwich mate - I've decided it's bacon for dinner tonight.
Vacamion Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 Better to burn brightly and for a shorter time than to fade slowly into obscurity... Modern society should just get used to the idea that there is risk attached to everything - yeah I might die younger because I ate some bacon, but I also might die younger because some idiot in front of me on a motorway can't drive or because someone in the same train thinks that he will go to paradise if he kills the infidel ... sheesh, if you stop doing everything that has risk, life aint worth living. Now pass the bacon sarnies and the brown sauce...
Rincewind Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 You could also die from a bee sting when you pick some home grown chemical free organic lettuce from your vegtable garden. Safer to eat bacon.

Now pass the bacon sarnies and the brown sauce... Well said. It seems being at your physical peak, helth, dieting, not living near power lines and generally not dying before the age of 80 is everything these days, I know there are some people who lead increadibly unhealthy lives and drop dead in their late 40's early 50's but they are a minority. And half the people who do lead shit lives manage to scrape into their late 70's anyway, we all unfortunatley have to die of something.
Dr The Singh Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 As long as I have suitable life insurance to ensure the mrs and kids won't be homeless, I will continue to live the way I want to live and enjoy all od gods fruits!!!
Phube Posted 1 November 2007 Author Posted 1 November 2007 If they tell me that stodgy white bread and tomato ketchup is bad for you, I shall do some harm to somebody. I don't know who, but I will. Gillian McKeith... aim all vengeance at her (she hates White bread!!!) Tommy K is good for you (apart from the salt and sugar) because there's something weird that happens to processed tomatoes that make them as beneficial as eating them fresh. Or something. This wont help Lisa though!! It helps prevent Prostate cancer... unless she's not telling us summat, I think she's safe from that!! Ps. It's Brown Sauce with bacon... EVERONE knows that!! (See that, I'm agreeing with Manwell!! )
josedob Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 The older I get - the more ludicrous I find the media to be. It's almost as if with each new wave of university graduates to become news reporters they discover the same common sense scientific studies and find the need to report them over and over again. As I read this article - I couldn't help thinking - "Didn't they tell us that when I was in primary school in the 1970s? How is this scientific finding new news?" What's next an article warning about the dangers of playing on roofs and the possible effects of gravity? Oh well....guess I need to return to eating my ham/cheese sandwich and enjoying my full english breakfasts whilst on holiday in the UK (if they can even serve them to me next time I visit).

(See that, I'm agreeing with Manwell!! ) Gillian McKeith is spawn of the Devil. I can't stand that stupid Scotch/American hybrid accent, and I don't trust anyone who rummages around in other people's poo. What is she? A dung beetle? I thought ketchup helped all cancers? Surely if I eat loads of it, Sir Fynwy will be protected from the horrors of prostate cancer (it's in his family)? I will not have my bacon ruined by brown sauce.
stez Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 well what the bloody hell am i supposed to do? i bought some 2 for 1 bacon the other day, so i can now eat that and get cancer or chuck it away and add to the 6 million (odd) tons of food waste people chuck every year, which will remain in my bin for 2 weeks attracting rats, before going off to land fill to break down and cause global warming! i'm fvcked. catch 22, devils alternative ect. i would like to apologise for my insensitive actions saturday last.
Guest Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 Just eat it Stezzoh. They'll find something else for you not to eat next week. I can't wait until they tell us cauliflower is bad for you. I will be right then.
