Bojimha Posted 2 November 2007 Posted 2 November 2007 Get a standard macbook, cheapest laptop that you can run osx on and avoid windows problems.
Rincewind Posted 2 November 2007 Author Posted 2 November 2007 Managed to get the network list up. All security enabled. Even mine. I need my pass key where ever that is. Got another problem. Rincewind Posted 3 November 2007 Author Posted 3 November 2007 Ok now. Apparently its a common problem. Theres a little pin hole next to the drive which releases the stuck disc. I just panic. Found out theres no PC I can backride in the area where I work so I wont be surfing at work until I can find a way to do it. Could do it via my mobile. Phoned my provider up and they have a package where the phone acts as a modem. I need a cable connecter as well. No rush. There isnt too much on the basic package. I have the disc for the upgrade but you have to pay for the download first. Anyone know how much the Vista Premium is?
Rincewind Posted 4 November 2007 Author Posted 4 November 2007 Typical Ihave manage to get a connection in the Old Horse and this week they are playing crap music all C/W very depressing sort. Tried to play a DVd earlier but apparrently my version of MP doesn't support it. Maybe not everything was put on from the setup disc. Got to get out of here before I cut my throat.. Bit dark anyway to see what I'm doing. Good job I'm used to a keyboard. Got some classical stuff on now. Could be from a western.
James. Posted 4 November 2007 Posted 4 November 2007 Something always goes wrong with stuff I have. It's bloody annoying. I find that too. My laptop never works like other people's laptops, my speakers don't sound as good as they should for the price I paid, my digital camera spontaneously stopped working and my PSP is just shit (although I think that's a general fault).

Rincewind Posted 13 November 2007 Author Posted 13 November 2007 now connected to wireless but when I was playing poker tonight kept losing the connection. And it didnt happen when I was holding 72 offsuit. Dont know why but I moved it a couple of feet and it was Okl. My PC tower was in between the router and laptop dont know if that had anything to do with it but I though the sygnal could be received all round the house even through walls. Ended up winning about 70dD so not too bad. My brothers on Skypoker on Saturday in the studio as a guest player. His online name is SirGary.
Bojimha Posted 14 November 2007 Posted 14 November 2007 ASUS all the way!!!If you got the cash, I'd recommend an Apple PowerBook. PowerBook is the old type of apple laptop running on slower single core powerPC processors, you want the Macbook or Macbook pro which is the new intel type that is tons faster with a core2duo processor, faster ram, etc.
