gasman68 Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 just a thought, will The Leicester City 2008 Callendar have a Manager on every month instead of a Player?
davieG Posted 13 November 2007 Author Posted 13 November 2007 I agree that he could potentially do a good job but he comes with too much baggage. That clause in particular and the Amy Rainer (spelling?) saga made him look very bad indeed.Good point. If he came here are clubs going to be keen to negotiate with him in transfer deals? Would he scare off clubs and then not be able to attract quality players to the club? I would imagine most transfer would be down to MM negotiating.
Joe. Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 It still all points to Dowie for me. Holloway's out and so is Royle, we already know that it's looking like it's going to be a manager currently in a job and we also know Milan is a fan of Dowie's.
Ric Flair Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 Is it me or does he seem to be personna non-grata? Could it possibly be that football has closed ranks on him. Case of he might have been right but he shouldn't have said so. Or am I imagining it? It's very odd that he's not been a front runner for any other manager's job since he left Luton.
Staf Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 Bloody hell my top three choices were Holloway, Royle and Tigana so now Holloway and Royle have snubbed us the only manager i want is Tigana no soubt he will snub us in the morning
Fez of Mahrez Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 Think Tigana could be worth a bet myself ! Is that in a "I know something" sort of way?
James. Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 Aye up. Fatbloke has contacts if I remember rightly. Or at least has claimed to.
maddog Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 We all know we will end up with a manager who we will be disappointed with. I was annoyed when we got MA, i thought who's he? then he turned out great and was sacked for no reason. Then fooked off when we got Megson, and celebrating when he left, i was sceptical about Burrows and Taggs, but they seemed to be doing excellent and we nearly beat Chelsea, but that has now come crashing down with poor draws and a nightmare loss to Burnley. I wouldn't mind them leaving now. There aren't many managers that would make the fans happy that we could get now apart from Steve Walsh. Can't see us getting Jewell, Tigana or the likes of Dowie. Wouldn't mind Paul Ince, got this feeling it's gonna be Cotteril, even though he has achieved nothing with Burnley Former players like Walsh i think would be the only candidates to get the shit of our squad playing football

evan Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 i love that emoticon I've heard from a pal that the next lcfc manager is going to be Billy Davies. Not sure how true this may be but might explain why there's a delay?perhaps davies is waiting for the sack?
MPH Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 It's very odd that he's not been a front runner for any other manager's job since he left Luton. maybe football is more corrupt than we think and they dont want a 'goody goody' who will sell them out as a manager... i can quite see how some agents would not want to represent him or do buisness with him. either that or there has been uproar in the WI meetings and they are all wrather cross about his comments on women in football....
Raj Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 I like Holloway but me thinks he is in the 'Martin Allen'type bracket. He 'd give us a lorra fun but think hejust lacks that edge. However he's bloody done well at Plymouth so prhaps everything ive just said is shite!

Perhaps Holloways just another decent option to drop out i think its only Ince left who isn't shit & hasn't ruled himself out. Mandaric seems to be a really desirable boss & in no way has shot himself in the foot multiple times.
