Plymouth has it's own little airport, but they don't fly to EMA, only Manchester, Bristol. Leeds/Bratford and some other shite places!

It wasn't necessarily a scheduled flight.

It's funny. There seems to be far less opposition to Holloway than there was when Levein left. Is that because he's suddenly become such a brilliant manager or because we're so damned desperate for someone to take us on.

I think this is looking very likely now! Whereas rumours like Tigana never really got going, this one has really started to snowball. Looks like Holloway will be our new man. I have split feelings over this, on one side I wanted an exciting name like Jewell or Tigana but realistically Holloway isn't a bad choice and I'm sure he will stabalise the club. Just hope we can move on from there.

It will never happen!! If it was going to happen it would of happened by now!!! Its all a load of rubbish. He has 2 Deaf children that have just settled into a school in Exeter and his wifes family lives 10 miles from homepark. He has JUST moved into his new home and he is settled. Can any of you explain why the hell he would now up and move everything for a few extra quid?? I DONT THINK SO. If you have read his Autobiography it states that his wife has be gunning for him to get the Plymouth job for many years now. Wifes always get there own way!! It wont happen and the quicker you smell the coffee the better.

Souness is you man!! You better believe it!!

Anyway I think Ollie would be a step in the wrong dirrection for you. Ollie and Milan would clash big time and he wont last 3 months!! Then where will you be. The problem with your club is now im afraid your owner not the vacant manager position.

Yes.

However i'd rather we wait and get the right man rather than rush and get the wrong man, but IMO no matter who we get someone won't be happy, and no matter who we get they will struggle with the player's we've got, Megson I never wanted him in the first place but how was he expected to do well with the players we've got.

We need a motivator, I see Holloway as they motivator, BUT Allen was a motivator and as soon as he told the players to do something they went to Mr Mandaric and moaned about it (One of the reason's for Allen's sacking I believe)

As for being happy with Holloway, I love his attitude and quotes as I did with Allen, What puts me off or worries me is the talk i've heard of his teams being dirty, time-wasting, e.t.c, I'm not certain of this just what i've been told, Manager wise I don't actually know what he's like.

I can tell you're a Plymouth fan due to the way you wrote that, but you do raise some good points.

.. i think we're talking about a slightly more substantial ammount than just 'a few extra quid' and i believe that the 'few extra quid' will soon shut his missus up!!! (if she's anything like my missus anyway!!!!!)

There is no doubt that the style of play shown by QPR and plymouth is both direct and dominated by long ball. At QPR he encouraged players to basically cheat. If that is ok with you then it shows the depths to which football can sink. I passionately want city to win every game I just believe that there are right ways about going about doing so. He may get the job and he may do well. If this happens then great. QPR fans I know say he is one dimensional with only plan A and nothing else.

Sometimes it is the level of sheer intolerence displayed on this forum which is frightening.

sometimes teams are just not good enough to win the beautiful way! i was at that QPR game and it p*ssed me right off, but if i'm honest if we were playing a team obviously better than us i wouldnt mind too much how we beat em, as long as we beat em!!

I agree apart from Souness is totally out of the equation don't want him at all (I have said we need to get a motivator, expect when we get a motivator and they tell the players to do something they'll go moaning to Mr Mandaric - which is one of the reason I think Allen was sacked, but Souness would be a motivator and more...Don't like that man)

And I think Tigana would rank second and Holloway third.

Basically wouldn't really mind anyone from that list barr Souness.

Thing that worries me is with the players we have, I think alot of managers, whoever it may be will struggle, as I keep saying we need a motivator, when the motivator tries to get the players to do something they'll moan and whine...it's a viscous circle.

These comments about his two deaf children are just getting on my tits now, I have to say something. Moving a child to another school (as long as its a decent school) can be stressful but children, deaf or not, generally cope. Being deaf does not affect a child's ability to settle into a new school. End of.

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest cause it was pissing me off.

Fair point about Souness, we do need a motivator which Souness isn't and Holloway and Jewell are.

I think Souness is a motivator but he's more than a motivator, he's goes further than a motivator and fall's out with the players, having said that as I keep saying we get manager who tells the players home truths and tell's the something they don't want to do and off they go moaning and whining.

You raise some very good points.....maybe Holloway just wants to talk to Milan so's he can tell him to piss off to his face. Then again, stranger things have happened.

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest cause it was pissing me off.

. Having a deaf child myself I can tell you that getting a decent school with the correct provisions is not that easy. There is also a lot more social problems that your child will come across . whilst a hearing child will generally adjust quicker deaf children can be quite reluctant to change. I also live in Bristol and Holloway’s children were at the same deaf club as my son .I don’t know the fella although did here very nice things about him. That said wouldn’t be my first choice but it certainly will piss Bristol city off big time if we win on sat with him in charge.

Just thought I would mention it
