Blue Bob Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 It will never happen!! If it was going to happen it would of happened by now!!! Its all a load of rubbish. He has 2 Deaf children that have just settled into a school in Exeter and his wifes family lives 10 miles from homepark. He has JUST moved into his new home and he is settled. Can any of you explain why the hell he would now up and move everything for a few extra quid?? I DONT THINK SO. If you have read his Autobiography it states that his wife has be gunning for him to get the Plymouth job for many years now. Wifes always get there own way!! It wont happen and the quicker you smell the coffee the better. Souness is you man!! You better believe it!! Anyway I think Ollie would be a step in the wrong dirrection for you. Ollie and Milan would clash big time and he wont last 3 months!! Then where will you be. The problem with your club is now im afraid your owner not the vacant manager position. If it was never going to happen why are you on here trying to convince yourself that he is staying. As for money - well from what I understand Plymouth dont have any!!! You cant afford to back Holloway on his promotion quest so he may well look elsewhere. I also believe that moving to Leicester he will add £150,000 to £200,000 on his salary so that should buy him a lovely new house and his wife loads of shoes and shopping trips. His wife might have wanted him to be Plymouth manager but if you think about it he has fulfilled her wish - he is/was plymouths manager. The comment about deaf children - dont you think we have deaf people in Leicester??? Or schools??? Shame you dont read the press as Milan is going after someone who is in a job - Souness isnt so that would rule him out!!
Asha Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 If you get him, you lucky ****s. He is class. If we get him, I heard Souness is looking for a new job...
James. Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 I think by far the biggest incentive for Holloway is moving to Leicester. It is after all the London of the Midlands. In fact it was officially rated as one of the top 17 cities in the world ahead of places like Osaka, Durban, Lima and Coventry. And I've been to Plymouth. It's shit. Where's your National Space Centre eh? Or your Clock Tower? Or your cool prison that looks like a castle? Yeah, exactly. And THAT is why Holloway will be our new manager.

The Germans didnt bother destroying a shithole like Leicester
Raj Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 fook off, Plymouth got destroyed in the war, we actually had to spend money on rebuilding. The Germans didnt bother destroying a shithole like Leicester We got The Shires you know!!!! Anyway...Has he left yet???
Bellend Sebastian Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 fook off, Plymouth got destroyed in the war, we actually had to spend money on rebuilding. The Germans didnt bother destroying a shithole like Leicester I think they thought that attacking Britain's port facilities would have a bigger effect on the war effort than wiping out its hosiery factories. They lost the war though, so it just shows what they knew
Nath Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 fook off, Plymouth got destroyed in the war, we actually had to spend money on rebuilding. The Germans didnt bother destroying a shithole like Leicester What does plymouth offer? apart from road's out of the place and the sea in which you would swim to the Isle Of White, just to get away from your dump. Plymouth offer's nothing, not attractive in the slightest.
James. Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 fook off, Plymouth got destroyed in the war, we actually had to spend money on rebuilding. Yeah and what a rubbish job you did. Leicester also has The Shires (as Raj correctly pointed out), one of the best Holiday Inns in the country (fact), an excellent one way system and is ALMOST equidistant between London and Leeds. Do you want me to carry on? Do you?
Simon Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 . Having a deaf child myself I can tell you that getting a decent school with the correct provisions is not that easy. There is also a lot more social problems that your child will come across . whilst a hearing child will generally adjust quicker deaf children can be quite reluctant to change. I also live in Bristol and Holloway’s children were at the same deaf club as my son .I don’t know the fella although did here very nice things about him. That said wouldn’t be my first choice but it certainly will piss Bristol city off big time if we win on sat with him in charge. Just thought I would mention it I take your point to a certain extent, deaf children can have problems with self-esteem: but it does depend on the school. The provisions are there for the children (although I don't deny they could be better!). I'm not saying it's easy, it just annoys me when people single these children out all the time; they're still children. The more you highlight their difference the more you knock their self-esteem.

Leicester is lucky for being located where it is. Plymouth is neglected and ignored by the government.
Wycombe Fox Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 What does plymouth offer? apart from road's out of the place and the sea in which you would swim to the Isle Of Wight, just to get away from your dump. That's one heck of a ****ing swim!!!!
Thracian Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 fook off, Plymouth got destroyed in the war, we actually had to spend money on rebuilding. The Germans didnt bother destroying a shithole like Leicester They wouldn't have bothered with Plymouth either if your houses weren't flanked by warships, military garrisons and strategically important docks. In truth the area would be quite attractive but for Plymouth standing like a festering sore on the edge of its magnificent maritime face. As for the town's rebuilding I saw some of it a week or two back and, having just come from Cornwall, couldn't get out of the place fast enough. Now, when the weathermen talk about a depression I always imagine it coming from Plymouth.
Harpenden Fox Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 I love the way this thread has descended into is the urban centre of Leicester better than Plymouth.... We certainly win in the banking stakes. Whose ever heard of the Plymouth Building Society? Meanwhile we have the Alliance and Leicester (well I think it might have moved actually, but we've still got the name), which is a proper Building Society as yet unaffected by subprime lending difficulties unlike our Geordie friends. Which all adds up to Holloway becoming our new manager for a few weeks.

I've lived in both cities and Plymouth would win it for me everytime-although their newish shopping centre is a fvcking disgrace
WetFlannel Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 I've lived in both cities and Plymouth would win it for me everytime-although their newish shopping centre is a fvcking disgrace sssh... at least deny it
ribber Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 Its been so long since Ive been here I cant remember if I ever posted! However, on Thursday, Paul Jewell will be crowned king of Leicester. Do not ask how I know.....just believe.
Harpenden Fox Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 I've lived in both cities and Plymouth would win it for me everytime-although their newish shopping centre is a fvcking disgrace This isn't the time for reasoned analysis. It's time for our City is better than theirs one eyedness
James. Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 Close to Leeds, big thumbs up We are also close to Rutland Water (great for sailing). Did I mention Leicester also has the refurbished St Margaret's Bus Station (within touching distance to 2 fine nightclubs), a small statue commemorating the sporting achievements of our football, rugby and cricket teams AND the A46 which has significantly improved access to the M1.
Harpenden Fox Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 Leicester was also the home of the first traffic warden. Since then, the rest of the country has been trying to play catch up. None of your sloppy south-western park where you like attitudes to be found in fine city of Leicester matey boy
crisp monster Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 Bruce Rioch just phoned me. He's desperate for the job.Anyone wondering where he's been for the past few years, he's been in the legal wranglings of a court case with Coventry City FC over using his name in their Ricoh arena. He dropped the case when he realised his dyslexia had made him look a complete prat. Brilliant

Yes, because we have nowhere to sail. Leicester was also the home of the first traffic warden. Since then, the rest of the country has been trying to play catch up. None of your sloppy south-western park where you like attitudes to be found in fine city of Leicester matey boy Thats not a good thing
