Asha Posted 19 November 2007 Posted 19 November 2007 What superstitions do people have? My main one is every time i leave the house i tap the top of the door frame as i walk out the door. Just to give myself good luck for the outing/day or whatever.

I have a big thing about clocks when they say have the same digits on both sides, such as 22:22 or 20:20 etc i beleive it to be massivly bad luck and i seem to see the clock like that all the time. probably explains my bad luck in life atm.

AoWW Posted 19 November 2007 Posted 19 November 2007 Not a superstition as such but I am alarmingly attached to my mobile. To the extent that I am, genuinely, completely paranoid that something really bad is going to happen if I ever go out without it by mistake. A 'friend' once decided to test my dependency on said gadget by 'nicking' it while we were on a night out, then buggering off and leaving me stranded (not for long, to be fair!). I lost the plot. Completely panicked. Tears, tantrum, the full works. All logical thought went out the window. It is, rather sadly, my very own 'adult' comfort blanket. I even need to know it's within reach when I'm asleep.

I even need to know it's within reach when I'm asleep. I'm vaguely the same, but not that bad. I do have my phone next to my pillow when im sleeping though. Another weird thing i do, is when i have a drink, i always have four gulps.

AoWW Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 Don't ever, ever, EVER meet me. EVER. I will bully you rotten with that. Evil, sadistic bastard.
lookwhaticando Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 Not a superstition as such but I am <blah> If only I were armed with such knowledge. Oh, wait, I am now. nifty
The People's Hero Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 I always give tramps a couple of coins. Karma and all that. Suppose you could call it superstition. In reality I'm just probably increasing the trade of the local offie and bringing the tramp one step closer to the relative tranquility of the final slumber.
