Tommy G Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 Mate, you drive a fiesta And.. there decent Cars? What do you drive then Clarkson?
Manwell Pablo Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 And.. there decent Cars? What do you drive then Clarkson? I just find it funny your lecturing him on top of the range convertables when you drive a fiesta. I've got a fiesta as well.
The People's Hero Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 Yeh ot bad. but if your after a convertable then its about the cheapest on the market. Obviously if you had more cash you could upgrade to perhaps a Z3 or Z4. My mate at work has a Z4 and he's 24, fuc kin mint cars. Red leather, 2.5 Litre, Gun metal grey.Id say the ultimate 2 seater if you want to pay about 20k for a convertible. . . Then again, Mini Cooper S convertible.... I test drove a load of Z3s in budget and I guarantee you that my car is better to drive. The Z4, maybe... I don't know - I've not driven one. I'd always wanted an MR2 since I was very young - even when the old Mk Is were about. Lovely. I still prefer the look of them to be honest to the one I've got now. What I really fancy is a Mustang. They are so much cheaper in the States than here - it's disgusting.
Tommy G Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 I'm not lecturing him. Was just discussing cars because I like cars and I gathered he had an interest in them aswell. Whats the problem with that? And you appear to laugh at my fiesta when you drive one aswell? Blimey People can talk about cars when they haven't got that particular model. I just like the look of the mini cooper S convertible, that appears to be a sin in your eyes because I own a fiesta!?

It will probably become seen as a girl's car though. Speaking of which, I saw one of those Micra convertibles for the first time the other day. What the fu ck? And it was a fella driving it. My mate has just chopped in his fiesta ST for a 2 year old Scooby Impreza WRX. I told him to get an Evo instead, but he went for the Scooby and fu ck me is it loud. I've never almost died so many times in the 5 or so minutes it took him to travel however many bloody miles it was. Anyway, the moral of the story is - never ever accept a lift from his anywhere ever again.

The seating position in both the Z3's and Z4's are basically on the floor so you feel every single bump on the road unless you alter your suspension or tyres etc. But thats a small compromise when they look the shit.. only drawback is that its a BMW, realiable but most people that drive them are bellends, especially older beemers when people just buy them to say 'ive got a BMW' when its infact a G reg and clapped out. The MR2's latest shape is nice I must say But heres a real car if you've got a spare 60K
Tommy G Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 The sound of your speakers has to be turned up to appreciate that video

Anything less than the 3 litre is woefully underpowered and provides about as much fun as driving through soup. Z4's are better, granted, though the red leather option just looks like a tart's boudoir at the wrong time of the month. The Z4M is awesome! Only problem is, they're Beemers... and you can therefore guarantee some little twat is gonna key it as soon as your back's turned.
The People's Hero Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 That's a lovely car - and it would go like the sh it. In fact, I'd be dead within a week. But I've fallen for this. If I ever had serious serious money - I think I'd get the Maserati Coupe (as presumably an older gent by then) what a lovely looking car.
Alexikokopops Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 And you appear to laugh at my fiesta when you drive one aswell? Blimey Erm, did you actually read the post? I just find it funny your lecturing him on top of the range convertables when you drive a fiesta.I've got a fiesta as well. There appears to be no laughing at your Fiesta.

Spent last week at work at a BMW dealership so its fresh in the mind. Any of BMW's M range are quality. Especially the M3 Coupe they have just brought out, or the M5 touring that was recently on top gear. If I had to choose between BMW M range and Audi S range i would go for audi every time. Mainly because Audi's are less protentious than BMW's but they match them in every department. The video if that audi S8 is some car for a 'saloon'. what car do you drive?
The People's Hero Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 I'd also like an Audi RS4 seeing as we're on the Audi subject.

Bert Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 What car do you drive then cvnt? I've got a Honda Civic Type-R.
The People's Hero Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 This is exactly what my car looks like by the way.

If I ever had serious serious money - I think I'd get the Maserati Coupe (as presumably an older gent by then) what a lovely looking car. I take it your refering to the Audi S8? It is lightening quick for a saloon as its got a 5.2L V10 which is rediculous. The noise of it alone makes me want to cream. A long way off buying one, i think they start at 65K not surprisingly! That alfa pic you've got looks like a Bugatti Veyron a bit, but obviously a cheaper version! I wouldnt like to put a price on it, any ideas? Maserati's are nice. A fella down the road has got a black one, (although he is the village plank) I've got to hand it to him, its a nice motor. In the same league as Porche and Ferrari but are less common and have a bit more elegance and class I feel...
Manwell Pablo Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 This is exactly what my car looks like by the way. Not quite as my associates have just robbed it. Take the wheels off and mess the interor up and take the hardcore porn mags from under the seat and thats more like it.
The People's Hero Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 Does look a bit like the Veyron - until you'd said it I couldn't but my finger on it, but now the more I look at it - the more I agree. Strangely, I'm not the biggest fan of the Veyron - it all seems a bit pointless when you've got that much power and speed and it just looks a bit tacky - perhaps I'm just telling myself that because I can't afford one though?

Well the price just baffles me. Fair play you've got over 1000 bhp and its quick as fu ck but I would be banned after a week due to speeding along with everyone else. For a lot lot cheaper you could get the new Bentley Continental GT soft top. Serious wheels, or any AMG Mercedes. Actually pretty much anything quick. The speed appeals to me but the looks of the Veyron like you said isnt the best I like these

Didnt Clarkson actually do that a few years back with a car from the states? ( wasnt a mustang though)

Unfortunately, I'm in no position at the moment to be thinking about a new car!
Joe. Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 Yeah well... erm... I can't even learn to drive yet. Damn I hate being young. Oh, and having a birthday in July doesn't help either <_<
Tabou Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 My boss has the S* V10 big-dick audi thing with the lambo engine in. And he has a gallardo for the weekends! I personally, would trade all of these in and by myself a maybach and a driver. I drive a 150 mile round trip daily. its boring.
