reynard Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 What? 7 defenders + 1 defensive midfielder and a keeper. A partially fit striker and Hume. Could be a new 7-1-2 formation. Think I'll go and watch some paint dry. Fancy us to score 0 tonight but hope I'm wrong.
Jack Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 Its on my Sig now, my hate for Stearman has turned greater than my hate for Fryatt Next you are gonna tell me that you Love Newton
Bryn Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 Fck me. What did King do to get dropped? Kaebi really so bad that he's bested by Maybury?
lookwhaticando Posted 4 December 2007 Author Posted 4 December 2007 < Teams from Match Live > So I was essentially correct... only Sheehan is LB and Mattock LW (in reverse to what I had).
Bluefoxtim Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 The thing is, we have had 3 managers since Allen left, and they have all chosen to play Kenton/Maybury in midfield and none have chosen to play Kaebi. Now, I'm not a fan of Maybury whatsoever, but these are the managers who spend everyday in training with them, and it isn't just one manager who has picked them, so doesn't that tell you something? Either they are all barmy or simply kenton is our best centre midfielder!
Thracian Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 Ahhh, 7-1-2 my favourite formation! Or worse! Arguably eight defenders plus a goalkeeper. What are we changing at the club that we didn't have with Levein, Kelly and Megson? If the the FA ran a Dourists of the Year Award we'd be in with a chance. And to think of the optimism we had after Martin Allen's lads whooped Watford 4-1. I remember now why I didn't want Holloway at the time Levein left. It's a funny thing. Managers always revert to type.
Bluefoxtim Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 oooooooooo i do Shaun no neck Newton Andy Impey
Jack Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 Fck me. What did King do to get dropped? Kaebi really so bad that he's bested by Maybury? I don't see what King did wrong, he was one of our better players on Saturday. Maybe Holloway feels that he shouldn't play too many games due to his age. And on the Kaebi one he really can't be very good, we only have 1 midfielder in the side tonight and he still can't get in.
lookwhaticando Posted 4 December 2007 Author Posted 4 December 2007 Kaebi really so bad that he's bested by Maybury? Management clearly think so. Unless he's still injured.
FleckneyFox Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 Looks like ------------------------Fulop----------------------------- -----Maybury--McAuley--Kisnorbo--Mattock---------- ----Stearman--Kenton--Clemence--Sheehan--------- -------------------Hume--Cort---------------------------
Mark Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 So prior to Saturdays defeat Ollie says he likes wing play and has been working on that all last week, it didn't work as he'd hoped so out the wingers go and from what I can see we've reverted to flooding the team with defenders, hoping to pick up a few points until January when he hopes he'll still be in a job to bring players in. With 8 games in December it's gonna be a long month.

There is much to criticise about Kaebi but as an attacking midfielder he's got more speed and more skill than Alan Maybury will ever have. It's the old story though. We don't want out and out attackers. We want defenders who will occasionally go forward. No wonder we can't score enough goals.

davieG Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 Have I missed something - what happened to Hayes?????
Phube Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 Looks like------------------------Fulop----------------------------- -----Maybury--McAuley--Kisnorbo--Mattock---------- ----Stearman--Kenton--Clemence--Sheehan--------- -------------------Hume--Cort--------------------------- More like: Fulop Maybury-McAuley-Kisnorbo-Stearman-Kenton-Mattock-Sheehan Clemence Hume-Cort
Thracian Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 This "having a look at everybody" gets on my pip. If Holloway doesn't know the players by now he damn well should do. It's nearly sodding Christmas.
Phube Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 Have I missed something - what happened to Hayes????? I heard a rumour he was ginger...
Nath Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 Maybury starting? I aint even going to listen to this pile of shiyte.
Mark Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 Have I missed something - what happened to Hayes????? Lacking the full back qualities needed to play on the wing for us.
lookwhaticando Posted 4 December 2007 Author Posted 4 December 2007 Maybury starting?I aint even going to listen to this pile of shiyte. K. Ta-ra, then.
ronnup Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 Lacking the full back qualities needed to play on the wing for us. Cort and Hume with no strikers on the bench. We're never scoring.
Thracian Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 Have I missed something - what happened to Hayes????? He got a knock Saturday and that's his problem - he's forever getting injured although it was later said he'd been dropped. Some reward for an assist and a half-decent game if true!
Nath Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 K.Ta-ra, then. It's ok... Can't listen to it on here So see you lookwhaticando
