maddog Posted 12 December 2007 Posted 12 December 2007 I thought Piper didn't say much at the start probably nervous then made some legendary comments and im looking forward to listening to him over the next 2 games. Some of them were: 'Im absolutely gutted' 'Leicester are starting to get back into this' 'Theres no way that was a penalty' 'Yes i really enjoyed that, the food was excellent before the game' Barber: 'It's a sit down 3 course dinner at Hull, the best ground for food' Piper: 'mmmmmmmmmmm yes ill look forward that' 'Maybe im just a bais Leicester fan but you can't say we didn't deserve that equaliser' LEGEND
onetruefox Posted 12 December 2007 Posted 12 December 2007 Matty did ok,He was like a true Leicester fan.Infact I thought he was very good, especially when Barber asked him a question and their was total silence. It was if Matty was ignoring him for asking divvy questions.Which made barber sound a bigger prat then he is.To put it into an Ollieism, it was like when someone talks to you across a bar,and you think to yourself if you ignore them, they might go away..thats what Matty was doing to Barber.
onetruefox Posted 14 December 2007 Posted 14 December 2007 For those of you who cant go tomorrow,Matty will be on again..Quality
Bluemoon Posted 14 December 2007 Posted 14 December 2007 For those of you who cant go tomorrow,Matty will be on again..Quality I won't be. But I think the radio is fine ...in fact it's better than the TV nonsense. Don't tell SKY but I guarantee you next time around the radio rights will be lost by the BBC. That I will not be happy with!

The Stig Posted 15 December 2007 Posted 15 December 2007 Much better game for Matt today, good to listen to.
Mark Posted 15 December 2007 Posted 15 December 2007 Much better game for Matt today, good to listen to. Agreed
Darkzzz_ Posted 15 December 2007 Posted 15 December 2007 yeah he was good today... especially when he had to reply to my question of " do you understand how hurt we are and who should we sign?" He said " listen, nathan i understand im a lestah boy... i am hurt too" I just wanted the reaction... i like matty to be honest... he is a good lad, get him signed again with one leg....
Webbo Posted 15 December 2007 Posted 15 December 2007 Much better game for Matt today, good to listen to. Still not brilliant, but an improvement agreed.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 15 December 2007 Posted 15 December 2007 Unlike Barber, at least he's a fan! Which he repeats an awful lot, but then I was crap at my job when I first started! Okay, I own up, I'm still crap at my job!
Daggers Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 Piper is a monotone bore with precious little insight beyond stating the glaringly obvious, a man with the lovable quality of Paddington the Bear but sadly the same cranial capacity. A waste of airtime.
Zingari Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 Much better game for Matt today, good to listen to. kept going on about how if it wasn't for his 300 knee operations he would have been up and at 'em ; radio leicester's very own uncle albert
The Reverend Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 Piper is a monotone bore with precious little insight beyond stating the glaringly obvious, a man with the lovable quality of Paddington the Bear but sadly the same cranial capacity.A waste of airtime. The same as the rest of 'em then
Anish Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 I thought he did alright. I didn't hear him against Ipswich but he wasn't that bad yesterday. Give him a break - it's only his second game commentating and I doubt he will have had any training or practice before he started.
MC Prussian Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 Matty Piper's not that bad. Anyone sitting right next to Barber looks and sounds good, no matter how much football knowledge they possess.
Number1flanker Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 Makes a change from the usual £20 charge. He is crap!!! So annoyin especially when he critices certain players who were doin alryt ... Kaebi
Webbo Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 He is crap!!! So annoyin especially when he critices certain players who were doin alryt ... Kaebi If you were listening to the radio and not there , how do you know he was 'doin alryt'?
Nationwider Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 I think we should try to flog him to BBC Radio Sunderland for £3.5M
