The Reverend Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 Clearly after the managers job again, the sly dog.
Micky Ruddle Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 Need someone to lighten up this place. I may go down, nip in, have a gander. Fulham Away, Concourse, Half Time
Father Ted Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 I just got the email. Why Walshy??? Why not Stevey Claridge or Matty Elliott.
Tommy G Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 what a let down, Walsh is a nobber these days. cant commentate and critisises everyone but himself
James. Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 We're such a bunch of c**ts. Walsh was a total legend for this club, the likes of which we haven't seen for too many depressing years and which we may never see again. The man bleeds blue. He couldn't be more Leicester if he tried. If only we had someone, ANYONE, with the passion he showed the shirt. And yet just because he comes out with a bit of crap on Radio Leicester people feel the need to have a go at him. "He's a nobber these days". F**k that. This is symptomatic of the attitudes of a lot of people on here. We lose a game - "oh my god we're shit, we're going down". We win a game - "oh my god we're only X points off the play offs". Sort yourselves out.
Master Fox Posted 18 December 2007 Author Posted 18 December 2007 I think it's difficult to like anything Leicester City related at the moment

Big Time Charlies Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 Spot on mate! People have very short memories and as you said if only we had someone like him in the side now.Sadly though players like Walsh are a dieing breed. What optimised Walsh was his spirit - he wasn't the most talented defender in the world but he'd give everything every game, throw himself into challenges, take a kicking for the club. I really hope Ollie can bring in a few players with the same mentality, and spark off a bit of passion amongst the players we already have!

I just can't be doing with him as a person, either in the mercury or on the Radio. My gran has passion, and is a ledgend, but she was never considered for the vacant managers position...Walshie talks out his arse

Tommy G Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 I'm afraid laughing is the only policy at the minute, its a mess. Perhaps the best policy is is to stop piping up about fickle fans aswell...just because i don't like Walshie's personality doesn't mean im a fickle fan, which is the point regarding your post?

That you showed seemingly no respect for one of the clubs legends....?
Tommy G Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 That you showed seemingly no respect for one of the clubs legends....? No. I said I dont like him as a person, great footballer nonetheless. theres a difference. I don't want to be listening to the city game and hear walshie talking about how he could do this and do that and do this and do that. And then theres the odd...hmm im hungry. My favourite was from forest in the cup... 'I hope we don't go into extra time because I could do with something to eat John... I'm starving!'

Perhaps the best policy is is to stop piping up about fickle fans aswell...just because i don't like Walshie's personality doesn't mean im a fickle fan, which is the point regarding your post? As I've already said the reason I brought it up is because it is symptomatic of wider inherent problems with our fans, particularly some of those that post on here. Don't be offended. I wasn't particularly picking on you, I just used one of your quotes to illustrate my point. During times like this when the team is struggling we have so much negativity with people seemingly picking up on the smallest thing and having a go. Last night there was a thread belittling the efforts of players to visit kids in hospital. What the f**k? I'm sick of it. When things are shit for the club I would think it is far more effective if fans rally round as opposed to taking joy out of yet another moaning thread. This sort of negative attitude is as evident on match days as it is on here and that doesn't help anyone, players, fans, whoever.
Flynny Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 Handbags. Yay. Walshy the footballer was immense for us, thats true, but Walshy the man comes across as a thick, over-opinionated bellend. What's wrong with saying so?

James. Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 If you lack the abiliy to debate what I believe is an important point regarding the attitude of our fans then fair enough. But yawning won't gain you any respect, at least not from me.

Ajax Treesdown Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 Walsh is a plank. Have no time for him nowadays.

What's wrong with saying so? I agree, he does sound like that, I was just backing up JTB, because he originally posted about tommy. I agree with what Tommy says about him being a poor commentator, although I don't dislike him as a person, I didn't think it was fair to say "what a let down" about a legend of the club.
