Apart from his recent shenanigans, I fail to see how anyone can justify calling him a cock. Some of our fans are an absolute joke, I don't think there's any other club where a player could go from all-time legend to 'cock' in the space of some comments about wanting to be the manager of the club he loves.

Personally I have my opinion of Walsh and I'm entitled to it, regardless of what Ultra might think. Needless to say, I rarely take Walsh's comments seriously anyway. That's the best way sometimes.

I am under no obligation to have to buy into this 'legend' shit or the deification of people that if you met you probably wouldn't like and not doing so doesn't make me any less of a supporter of Leicester City than anyone else. The terms of my season ticket don't contain any compulsory requirement to revere Steve Walsh or anyone else for that matter. Birchenall's a long serving representative of the club - are we supposed to worship him as well? I don't actually feel that strongly about Mr Walsh but I feel quite strongly about having non-sensical unwritten rules imposed on me because I've associated myself with a football club. I'd forgive a Chelsea fan for thinking Dennis Wise is a knob. Wouldn't you?

The difference is that Walsh on many occasions put his career and long-term health on the line for us - especially at Wembley 1994 which I can only assume you're too young to remember. Birchenall, on the other hand, achieved the square root of jack sh!t for us and continues to live on past glories which don't actually exist.

No-one is questioning his sporting achievements. Rodney Marsh was a great footballer but still comes across as a bit of a plank in the media and I'm sure some of the more enlightened QPR fans would agree with me on that.
