Of course people are entitled to an opinion of Walsh whether it be positive or negative.

My problem is with the fickle nature of Leicester supporters and also their apparent relishing of opportuntities to be negative about the club whether it be previous players, new managers, fans, atmosphere, etc.

I can't avoid the feeling that people have turned on Walsh purely because he says some stupid stuff on Radio Leicester. If that's all it takes for the insults to fly I hate to think what would happen if someone did something bad. Maybe this negativity should be reserved for people like Dennis Wise and Peter Taylor, not someone who will still be talked about in 50 years time.

It has been a pattern I have seen emerging on this forum with people almost actively seeking a chance to be negative. And it's apparent at games as well. There's too much moaning and belittling going on at a time when the club really doesn't need it. I guess it's just reflective of the wider footballing world where managers are sacked after a farcically short period of time in the job and fans and media turn on players (and managers) at the drop of a hat.

There's just too much short termism. People who refuse to see the bigger picture.

Why on earth are some of you taking offence to Walsh criticising the shambles of a club we have become?. It's exactly what all of us have been saying for quite some time. Walshy has the balls to say it in the public eye as he doesn't toady up to the club liek Birch, Blanderson and John Barber often do.

I would much rather listen to Walsh not beat around the bush than any other fooker whose associated with this club right now. He's also earnt the right to be critical of this club because he was hugely responsible for actually getting this club to achieve success in the 90's. A period we'll probably never match again.

Well typed, I agree, but still think we'll be great one day. Not this generation though

Supporters that are fair and rational, that express coherent opinions in a positive and encouraging fashion and maintain a consistent and balanced view through times good and bad...

They aren't supporters.

They are Marks and Spencers supporters.

I'd forgive a Chelsea fan for thinking Dennis Wise is a knob. Wouldn't you?

No, but they wouldn't. Which is the difference between our fans and others.

As are people that relish the chance to be negative, that actively seek something to moan about, that change their opinion after 1 game, 1 comment, 1 mistake, that turn on players because everyone else has, that demand a change of manager after 5 games, and so on and on and on and on...

Bet you I can find a Chelsea fan who thinks Dennis Wise, as a person, is a complete cock.

Maybe - but I think the biggest difference is the percentage of City "fans" that exhibit symptoms of mental retardation.

That's a bit unfair on the mentally ill to be honest

Shameless populism. We're talking about an opinion of the man as a person. No-one is questioning his sporting achievements. Rodney Marsh was a great footballer but still comes across as a bit of a plank in the media and I'm sure some of the more enlightened QPR fans would agree with me on that.

You're right there. great post.

Geez I think you'd be hard pushed to find a Chelsea fan who would just go on a forum and just say 'Dennis Wise is a cock' without justifying it, as people on here are doing.

You really aren't the sharpest tool in the box are you. Definitely a tool, but not very sharp. A spanner maybe.

Erm, they're giving reasons, your ignoring them.

Your just a straightforward bellend. I was being sarcy.

Just because i don't agree with your preaching posts doesn't mean im not the sharpest tool in the box.

The only tool round here is you.

Perhaps you should print off some of your glorifying posts of Steve Walsh and send them into radio Leicester. I'm sure he would love to read them to inflate..his already..massive ego.

Or perhaps you should get back to your men's health mag, instead of abusing everyone on here that has a different opinion to you. :P:thumbup:

Oooh got you on the defensive did I?

It's ok. I'm sure those accountancy exams will sharpen you up a bit.

Although I would've thought someone with a financial background would have heard of the phrase "short-termism". You'll ge there son, don't worry.
