STUHILL Posted 19 December 2007 Posted 19 December 2007 Don't like all this abuse Walshy is getting, ok the guy probably came across a bit of a nob, but come on, it's only because he wants to see us succeed and truely cares about the club. Becoming manager was a bit far fetched but like us he is obviously so frustrated at the way we play and the silly mistakes many managers are making, that even us fans can easily see! So come on guys, give him a break, it's only because he is Leicester thru and thru and thinks he can help!

The first Leicester goal I saw live was scored by him, and I only saw him score once more, so I never really appreciated him. What I can see is that he was loved by the fans, and his passion was immense, he would bleed blue and white, and a real hero from watching the 1990's season reviews. I can understand that he annoys people with his views, myself included, but he is like us, HE CARES! We all say things that make us look stupid at times, and Walshie is no different. He is a legend at this football club, one of our greatest ever. In my season-ticket holding years I have seen Matt Elliott, Gerry Taggart, Muzzy Izzet, Neil Lennon, Emile Heskey, all heroes who cared about the club, and also Paul Dickov, and to a lesser extent Robbie Savage, all of whom the crowd related to, loved, worshipped, because THEY CARED, would get hurt playing for the club. None of the current lot are fit to lace this lots boots, they don't get the crowd genuinely excited (I know we chant for some of the players, but not like we did for those I've just mentioned). Walshie may not be the brightest spark, but he speaks his mind, doesn't pull punches, and I like him for that. It is great to see the club still think about him, because memories of the better days are all we cling on to now. Walshie is a legend, and just because he amybe arrogant, don't turn on him. We need people at the club with passion. Up The Foxes!
