Fox92 Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Well Kaebi is obviously just a mediocre player who is not big or strong enough for this league. He can't speak english and has obviously not bothered to try and learn and is a misfit in the dressing room. If he was any good, Holloway would have kept him wouldn't he!! He will go back to Iran/Saudi Arabia I would guess. Well said Kaebi was the worst of the lot against Hull; he obviously didn't have a clue.
davieG Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 I don't think Kaebi is useless he's just useless to us in our present predicament and against the background of players we have and are likely to get. He's more of a misfit.
Father Ted Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 I don't think Kaebi is useless he's just useless to us in our present predicament and against the background of players we have and are likely to get. He's more of a misfit. Exactly what I thought. If anything the style of game doesn't suit him, for example, Spanish style of play may be better for him or French or Anyway, look at Savo Milosevic when he went to Villa, he wasn't exactly the best but then he went to Spain and was Top scorer in La Liga for a couple of seasons.
Kilworthfox Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Good riddance to bed news By the way lads don't let the door hit you on the way out Now Fook off and lets get some real footballers in
Hullfox Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 I don't think Kaebi is useless he's just useless to us in our present predicament and against the background of players we have and are likely to get. He's more of a misfit. He well turn out to be like that in the future but in our team right here, right now he isn't what we need. Great minds davieG..........
davieG Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Great minds davieG.......... Ooops missed that, I was just a against everyone calling him crap because he does have some useful skills and dare I say it a football brain.
Blue Bob Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 My big concern about these players is will other clubs want them?? Maybury and Douglas have been on the list for a while, with no takers will this been the same for the other players?? They havent exactly been playing well and guess some of them wouldnt want to drop to the lower leagues or take a drop in wages. If Ollie keeps them away from the club their fitness is likely to get worse and make them even less appealing!!!
Kilworthfox Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 If we are supposed to be playing the same side as last week how can this report be true? I hope the report is true however!
davieG Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Rab Douglas, July 2008 - 6 months Alan Maybury July 2008 - 6 months Shaun Newton, July 2008 - 6 months Carl Cort, June 2009 - 18 months Jimmy Nielsen, July 2009 - 18 months Hossein Kaebi, June 2009 - 18 months Sergio Hellings, June 2009 - 18 months well if we can't get rid that means we've got to find a way of agreeing the termination of 7.5 years of contracts or 360 weeks @ a conservative £5k/week that is £1.8mill they could have DJ instead
Kilworthfox Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Rab Douglas, July 2008 - 6 months Alan Maybury July 2008 - 6 months Shaun Newton, July 2008 - 6 months Carl Cort, June 2009 - 18 months Jimmy Nielsen, July 2009 - 18 months Hossein Kaebi, June 2009 - 18 months Sergio Hellings, June 2009 - 18 months well if we can't get rid that means we've got to find a way of agreeing the termination of 7.5 years of contracts or 360 weeks @ a conservative £5k/week that is £1.8mill they could have DJ instead Big wages, no one will take that shit off of us for money, if they go we will have to supplement their wages whilst they play for another club.
Matt Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Big wages, no one will take that shit off of us for money, if they go we will have to supplement their wages whilst if they play for another club. As I have said I wouldn't and I hope no clubs go near these players with bargepole's and that includes players not named in these 5. I hope they leave this club never to be seen again in these parts and there careers are as good as over, they don't deserve the lifestyle. On the other hand hopefully other clubs would come in and take these players of our hands because then we wouldn't have as much money to pay out, paying off the lazy, overpaid bastards.
Calum McDermott Posted 22 December 2007 Author Posted 22 December 2007 If Kaebi is successful anywhere in England I'll buy you a Barbars. I'll hold you too that!
Ultra Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 I'd buy you one too. Kaebi is a quality player, as his appearances for Iran have proved, but for a variety of reasons wasn't able to settle with us. The writing had been on the wall for him for some time and last week's dismal showing at Hull was the final nail in his City career. Good luck to him at whatever club he ends up, probably back in Iran or the Middle East. As for the others, Maybury and Cort played minor roles in our cup run, but did precious little else. Newton should never have come back, while the Don Mackay signings were reminders of just how often our chairman's judgement has let him (and us) down this year. Douglas should have been put out of his misery a long time ago. There's still a lot more deadwood to be shifted in the squad, but this is a useful start.
lookwhaticando Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Exactly what I thought. Clearly not: If Kaebi turns out to be a world star and plays for any top club then Holloway can go F**k himself.
OzFox311 Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 I'm glad to see Ollie did what was needed, as much as I hate to see players go, we had a lot of surplus players who just weren't either playing or doing enough... and he's cleared them so we can get some players he wants during the transfer season... Hopefully this means that he can get the team he wants and we can move forward, it's shown he's not afraid to throw the axe at the team if it's not performing and that's a good thing, I am happy we have a manager who knows what he wants and hopefully with that we can see success.. it's promising times...
ibbosuk Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 I'm not in the least bit "happy" but it does confirm what I've said since the first two games I saw him play.I'm not happy to see any player fail. I'm not happy that he wasn't used as a right midfielder from the start of his time here so that maybe, just maybe, he might have developed as an asset. I'm not happy about the idiocy of rushing him into the first team when he clearly wasn't ready for it, for whatever reasons. And I'm not happy about why he was signed in the first place and on whose recommendation. When I saw the YouTube video I was as impressed as everyone else and was greatly looking forward to seeing a class player in our ranks. But watching him when he arrived showed him in a completely different light and I have to wonder whether he was ever properly scouted. It doesn't take long. Within two or three weeks of their arrival it was clear that Ferreira, Djiziri, Kaebi and probably Hellings were never going to make it here. I find it hard to believe that any representative of Leicester City ever concluded that they would IF they watched them properly. That is not to say they were hopeless footballers. Just that they were unsuited to English Championship football at this time. So I am happy that Ollie has recognised what appeared obvious and done something about it quickly. I cannot argue against him on any of the other decisions either. His promotion of Cox is progressive and shows that he clearly recognises a useful footballer when he sees one even if he might remain on the fringes for a time. I might say though that Cox seems to relish the big stage and once he's ready and given his chance I'm not sure he will easily relinquish it. Most of the players Allen signed were not "Properly Scouted"IMO
Blue Bob Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Most of the players Allen signed were not "Properly Scouted"IMO I agree, what an terrible group of players he bought, lets hope Milan learnt by this experience and take a more active role in transfers. I appreciate some managers will not appreciate this but I feel he needs to check what research has been done and why the player will be a success before he gets out his cheque book!!

Wezleylowski Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Or maybe a less active role! Agreed. I doubt Allen would have known about Kaebi and Hellings if it weren't for Milan. He was poking his nose in with Hasslebank aswell. Milan needs to stop being a backseat driver and let his managers do what thy see fit.
He's not bald Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 I suspect that had you chosen to work in a country where few if any spoke your native tongue, you would have been able to hold a basic conversation after 6 months. You ever been to Glasgow?
Hullfox Posted 23 December 2007 Posted 23 December 2007 You ever been to Glasgow? Yeah, it took me three hours to learn how to nut some fooker. My point therefore holds tight.

Tommy G Posted 23 December 2007 Posted 23 December 2007 To be honest, i will be glad to see the back of im as im fed up of the costant debates over him, and how we constantly highlight an average player... its clear his future isnt here, although was given a brief bit of hope by Ollie Yep. I will be glad to see the back of Kaebi. It's just very very very boring now
