davieG Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 I thought I'd create a thread where people can stick any decent Freeware. http://www.tropicalwares.com/wallmast.html This enables you to: program the desktop wallpaper to change at a predetermined time interval (e.g. every 10 minutes) and customize the wallpaper position (tile, center, fit to screen, auto fit, or custom) easily. With all its cool and unique features packed within a simple easy-to-use interface, mastering your desktop wallpaper has never been this easy and fast! I'm using it on Vista. Any software downloaded is at your own risk!

Depends lots of people leave their PCs on when not using them, it's better than paying £30 for one of this digital photo frames?
General Smuts Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Depends lots of people leave their PCs on when not using them, it's better than paying £30 for one of this digital photo frames? Why not just use the screensaver? That does the same job without waiting for a download.
Rincewind Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 you have to be careful of freeware stuff. bugs and viruses can attach themselves to them. much like the women that allow themselves to be shagged after a G $ T or two.

Webbo Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 I use AVG anti virus and PC tools firewall, both free.
lookwhaticando Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 openoffice is top, is that freeware? Open Source more often than not means 'freeware'.
Bryn Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 Open Source means anyone is free to take the program and alter it to create a new modified version of the program. (I think) Not exactly the same I don't think, but as you can imagine, a program that anyone has permission to alter is likely to be free to use in the first place, so yeah LWICD is right.
MPH Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 openoffice is top, is that freeware? openoffice is freeware, and apparently its very good. i have a friend who rates it as better than microsoft word. which isnt that hard to do, actually.
Joe. Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 I use AVG anti virus and PC tools firewall, both free. Yeah I use AVG too, it's brilliant really. And I just use Windows Defender as my firewall.
danny. Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 open office is OK, but more like office 97 or thereabouts, office 2003 is better and office 2007 is so much better it's not even comparable. then again open office is free, so you get what you pay for.
Rincewind Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 I have openoffice on my lap top. I want to do a s sort iof spreadsheet for my weekly wages. Tax insusurance deductions etc. but dont know how.
