How is Elvis worse than Cort? Madness.

For me I think Howard poses our biggest threat and it should be obvious surely that Cort is by far the worst.

Sappleton is a cult hero. Cult heroes are never shit, are they?

Sappleton is the exception to this rule.

Stats aren't everything Thrac.

Matty Fryatt: 11 goals in 64 matches over three seasons at Leicester so far.

Most goals in a season: 4

Projcted final tally for this season: 7 or 8 (based on three so far in 20 games)

Stats or illusions - suit yourself.

Can't under why anyone would say Hammond's our worst striker seeing he hasn't been able to play. He scored more goals (6 in 19 starts) than Fryatt (4 in 23) last season and, although people said that was just a freak outcome because Fryatt was injured, Hammond's 6 in 19 would still be twice as good as fully-fit Fryatt's 3 in 20 this season.

Seems to me that people will just believe what they like whatever the facts say.

Hume is our best striker and Campbell comes next. It is probably reasonable to assume that Howard will eventually be our second best striker but it's not guaranteed.

Cort is our worst striker. The rest are as bad as one another not counting John who's been here on loan and Fryatt who's probably number four.

Agree with you about struggling to see how some of our fans see Elvis as our worst striker when he weighed in with a few goals this season and just generally isn't as bad as most people make out.

Cort is easily our worst forward and his performances this season have proven this.

As for the Fryatt-Hammond comparison it's pretty interesting but I know I'd much rather see Fryatt playing than Hammond. Maybe this is a wake up call to all the Fryatt lovers when they see Elvis has 2 more goals in 4 less appearances.

I'm not Fryatt's biggest fan, but he is a better player than Hammond (at least I think that's what this was about), Fryatt's all round game is better than Elvis'.

I second that, my thoughts exactly. People just jumping on the bandwgo of Hammond being the worst striker, yes he does miss some howlers, but so does everybody else, when he was fit, at least he was banging a few goals in for us.

Cort

7 goals in 22 matches in the Premiership

31 goals in 78 starts for Wolves

Or we can also use the fact that Elvis has scored 10 goals in 100 games.

The fun of manipulating stats :)

I'd probably say similar without the Hammond stuff.

Howard - Hume - Deej - Fryatt.

I like that as a first-choice four though, they each offer something different.

I think some people are taking it too seriously, they've all been pretty crap.

Agreed.

For me Hammond is the best because he's often so bad it is the only laugh I get all season. He's also the worst because basically his first pro goal took how many years to score and if an of us had been off work this long we would be on incapacity benefit.

But you're forgetting offside goals and open goals. They all count, y'know.

Howard

Cort

Agreed..

Although as MDV is still technically on our books, surely he should feature on these polls too?

Meh, makes no difference anyway. He's hardly the best or worst striker we have at this club.

I'd say Howard is our best potentially, whereas atm it has to be Hume based on his goals scored in such a shite team.

Worst is Cort, at at least the other strikers have either scored in the league, or showed some potential and/or effort.

Erm... what?

John best and Chambers worst.

Good One

What? James Chambers is rubbish in midfield let alone trying him up front!
