Cobbo Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Yea but he's not a creative midfield player though. What we need more then anything. We got enough defensive midfielders as it is. Need abit of flair in the middle of the park. Compared to what we've been used too I'm sure he'll be a breath of fresh air. Two creative wide men means you don't really need that creative central midfielder..
WetFlannel Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Hes a very good player... Nice to MON giving us a hand. Shame he isnt in the squad on Saturday. We are starting to get a bit of balance at least...
Wezleylowski Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Yea but he's not a creative midfield player though. What we need more then anything. We got enough defensive midfielders as it is. Need abit of flair in the middle of the park. Very true. I suggest Marius Niculae
Unabomber Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Should be good, as long as the wingers get passes to their feet they can supply the crosses. Clemence can spread the play quite well and he can pick a pass, Villa fans say Osbourne does alot of the work that sometimes goes unnoticed like tracking back etc. I think he will be quality for us.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Compared to what we've been used too I'm sure he'll be a breath of fresh air.Two creative wide men means you don't really need that creative central midfielder.. You still need a spark in the centre of midfield though. O Neil played with wingers but still had something like Izzet in the middle with someone like Lennon or Parker playing behind him though. Wingers just get that ball in from crosses not through the channel.
SamL Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Hopefully it will turn into a permenant deal, as well as premenant deals for the Hungarians, just because their Hungarian It won't turn into a permanent deal, Fact. He's only on loan with us to get some experience of playing first team football. I doubt MON would ever let us keep him because he's definitely one for the future and can only get better.
Thracian Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Compared to what we've been used too I'm sure he'll be a breath of fresh air.Two creative wide men means you don't really need that creative central midfielder.. That's assuming the two wide men do the business. Not necessarily something to be expected when you consider we've not found one winger in four years - apart from the one we've sent on loan!

I agree, it will also allow them a lot of freedom on the wings. I just hope it all comes together.
Joe. Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Good signing. Villa fans seem to have a decent opinion of him and say he should fare well in the Championship. Unfortunately it looks like only a month though which is a bit disappointing. If he does well then I'm sure it'll be exended.

Not necessarily something to be expected when you consider we've not found one winger in four years - apart from the one we've sent on loan! Yet to be honest Hayes isn't really shown anything on the wing this season to keep his place in the side. He seems pretty slow and hasn't got the best cross in the world. Reminds me of Joe Hammil to be honest. Atleast these wingers have played at a high level before. Take Hayes, the kid didn't even hardly play for the Mk Dons last season but Allen signed him ! Was signing players like that. That have got us in this mess in the first place.

I didn't mean Hayes I meant Gradel.

Hugo Sanchez Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 think thrach was on about Gradel Ohhhhhh The lad is young and its would be a huge risk playing him in a local derby match. Where tackles will be flying in and he wouldn't get alot of time on the ball. He should be loaned out and come back to us pre season. He has been playing well for Brentford is it ? Everyone at Gresty Rd clapped him off after he scored 2 great goals but another few months there wouldn't do him no harm.

Hugo Sanchez Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 He can pass better than most of our club, has vision and some place. He'll create play. I really hope so mate but everytime i've seen him play for Villa he doesn't get forward alot. Maybe Oliie will give him the nod to get forward alot more then Clemence.
Sods Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Hes not that great at passing by the way, i think he gets lazy. Thats why he needs more experiance

It's normal service. It's when he doesn't get his free-kicks and penalties he gets pissed off.
jonw88 Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Interesting fact..... On Pro Evo 2008, Osbourne is down as a centre back that can also play in centre midfield. Could have him in place of McAuley if he goes and we get a new creative midfielder in?

He'll get forward for us I think, take the pressure of Clemence who many peolpe expected to be a great playmaker but wasn't ever that man. Agree though, he's not nailed on to be good but I feel he's got a lot of potential. and i do think this could be permanent eventually. If he's loaning him out with the squad their size they never intend to start him or play him I reckon.

Fox in a Box Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Leicester City have agreed a deal to sign Aston Villa midfielder Isaiah Osbourne on loan. Villa boss Martin O'Neill admitted earlier this week that he is keen to send the 20-year-old out on loan to build up his first-team experience. He is now likely to link up with Leicester in the Championship next week after a minor injury delayed the move. "I thought he was going to be here this week to train with us, but unfortunately he had a slight dead leg," said Foxes boss Ian Holloway. "He was supposed to be here now and I thought that was done, but it should be either Monday or Tuesday of next week. "At this precise moment I don't think we will do anything with him before the weekend." Osbourne has made just four appearances for Villa this season and has not featured since the end of October.
