stevec Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Holloway expects to complete a loan deal today for Laczko's fellow Hungarian winger Gabor Bori from MTK Budapest, and the City boss is also lining up Aston Villa's Isiah Osbourne on a month's loan. The speedy midfielder is set to go straight into the side against Coventry on Saturday along with Laczko and Bori. From the Merc (and ha my first starting a thread - like ever on foxestalk - go p*ss on my parade and tell me someone else already posted this )
Fez of Mahrez Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 I thought he played well against us last year in the League Cup but was pretty shocking this season when we beat them. Having said that, he's got all the physical attributes needed. Interesting speculation.

From the Merc Happy. However Holloway will find it difficult to settle all these players in time for Cov. I think I'm going to go to the game now though, if we lose again, to Cov, at home, I'm going on strike, I've promised myself.

Wouldn't mind him until the end of the season but if we're signing him I doubt we're signing Kavanagh unless one of our other midfielders is leaving.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 We've only dropped two points at home to Cov in four games against them at the Walkers haven't we?
MikeyT Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Cool get him in! Certainly will be heading down City on Saturday now. Be interesting to see how well they gel together.
stevec Posted 8 January 2008 Author Posted 8 January 2008 We've only dropped two points at home to Cov in four games against them at the Walkers haven't we? We so have to win - this is the annual pilgrimage of my coventry "friends". Last year they actually left the game early and went home instead of out into Leicester they were so peeved. I could not stand the gloating if they won.
Sods Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 We've only dropped two points at home to Cov in four games against them at the Walkers haven't we? 3-0 Milan game 3-0 Levien 1st Game 2-1 De Vries couple 2-1 TAGGART! None

Wouldn't mind him until the end of the season but if we're signing him I doubt we're signing Kavanagh unless one of our other midfielders is leaving. Maybe MON is not comitting long term until he know who he's bringing in.
SamL Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 3-03-0 2-1 2-1 None After thinking about it that way, it's not a bad record is it. Can we make it 5 successive home wins against them? Would be a good result for us considering their result against Blackburn the other day,.
Stevosevic Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 We've only dropped two points at home to Cov in four games against them at the Walkers haven't we? Yep Leicester 2-1 Coventry Leicester 3-0 Coventry Leicester 2-2 Coventry Leicester 3-0 Coventry
Fez of Mahrez Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 3-0 Milan game3-0 Levien 1st Game 2-1 De Vries couple 2-1 TAGGART! None Excellent. I just assumed we'd drawn the one I couldn't remember. Massive game. Alternatively... was it 2-2? Oh well whatever. We certainly haven't lost to them at the Walkers and there's not many teams you can say that about (hello Barnsley! and... erm... Macclesfield...)
stevec Posted 8 January 2008 Author Posted 8 January 2008 Maybe MON is not comitting long term until he know who he's bringing in. Maybe he's banking on Norris signing from Plymouth but thinking its going to take the month to persuade Plymouth to sell as they already turned down 1.2 million bid (it seems).
Sods Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Yep Leicester 2-1 Coventry Leicester 3-0 Coventry Leicester 2-2 Coventry Leicester 3-0 Coventry When was that
MPH Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Would be a quality signing but why only for a month? Wouldn't mind him until the end of the season but if we're signing him I doubt we're signing Kavanagh unless one of our other midfielders is leaving. if i was him i would be nervous about joinging a team in the position we are in. He is prem class in my opinion and prem class players might not want to be in a champ struggling team for the rest of the season... however if we pick up some wins and some good games me might persuade him to stay longer..

We certainly haven't lost to them at the Walkers and there's not many teams you can say that about (hello Barnsley! and... erm... Macclesfield...) I thought it was 2-1, with De Vries scoring twice before half time. And the other was partridge great goal taking the lead but Taggart and Deane scoring. Anyway im exicited some how for Saturday. Even after watching saints and qpr game

Good point. Would be a gamble for him staying for longer. If we were to go down with our players confidence failing to improve, it could really put him on a downer. Who knows. He is a quality player though.
RowlattsFox Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Maybe Ollie has other transfer targets but he may have to wait until the later stages of the window to finalise them and in the meantime we need someone to play centre midfield. Is there a rule on how many long-term loans your allowed at one time because we have Ben Alnwich, Laczko Zsolt and maybe Gabor Bori on loan til the end of the season?
Stevosevic Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 When was that Oh, i thought when De Vries bagged a brace it was 2-2
Stevosevic Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Oh, i thought when De Vries bagged a brace it was 2-2 My bad, it was 2-1 Wow, 4 successive home wins. In fact, we havnt lost to them since we were promoted have we?
Blue Bob Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 According to the Mercury we are lining up a loan deal for the Villa Midfielder
Manwell Pablo Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 We've only dropped two points at home to Cov in four games against them at the Walkers haven't we? Yes, but your the one who has recently claimed this is the worst Leicester team you ever seen play, aren't you?
