shen Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 I seem to remember Buzsaky was shown the door at Plymouth despite having agreed terms on a new contract because Holloway refused to pay a seperate fee to his agent...not exactly what you do to somebody who you consider to be the best player at your club. Holloway complained about Plymouth not being able to hold on to their better players, Buzsaky obviously being one of them.
davieG Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 BBC Hungarian duo keen to extend stay Leicester City new boy Zsolt Laczko says he and fellow Hungarian Gabor Bori are desperate to earn permanent deals at the Walkers Stadium. The midfield pair have joined on loan until the end of the season. And Olympiakos' Laczko told BBC Radio Leicester: "We will stay here for six months and after we will see what happens. We would like to stay here. "We don't know when we will play - maybe Saturday - but we will try everything and hope we will play good.

Well if they truly are desperate then perhaps they will play with the passion missing from our other players! We can but hope!
Simi Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 I'm optimistic but as Lildave says, it's more hope than expectation. Holloway and Penrice have succeeded in this area before with the likes of Halmosi so they definitely have some decent background there. Let's give them time to get used to playing English football though, because there is no doubt there is a huge gulp in the way football is played over here compared to Hungary.
The People's Hero Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 I presume it's because you've dabbled at sport but never got anywhere. Assume you'll be playing in the O21 v U21 game then? Thought not! I don't rate Louis Dodds!!!!! I don't rate Louis Dodds!!!!!
Calum McDermott Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 I still would imagine there's been a lot more preperation and research gone in to these two signings. Penrice's reputation for unearthing decent foreign players is fairly good, but then againw e thought McKay's was as well.I still believe Kaebi is a quality player, but probably not suited to aggressive football like we play in this division. i agree, but i think kaebi is suited to agressive football as he has an agressive style of play, the iranians say his temperament is his only downfall. I just believe he is not suited to the poor football that is played in the championship by most but not all teams.

Going by our experience they are not to keen on heavy going/rain.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 Going by our experience they are not to keen on heavy going/rain. You want to stop putting them in for horse races and let them concentrate on their football.
The People's Hero Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 You want to stop putting them in for horse races and let them concentrate on their football. Never look a gifthorse in the plymouth
Thracian Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 Assume you'll be playing in the O21 v U21 game then? Thought not! I don't rate Louis Dodds!!!!! I don't rate Louis Dodds!!!!! You've found your level with "the crochety's" and if the Under 21's don't mind letting you have a run or two with the ball to keep your spirits up, why should I discourage them?
Messi Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 I'm not trying to rain on anyones parrade but let us at least judge these Hungarians after saturdays game. I hope they do well for this great club and help us on our push for promotion becuase they look like great young prospects. But everyone was getting excited about Kaebi about how good he looked on youtube etc. I just hope that they dont turn out like him. I doubt it though because even if they dont know english very well at least they will have each other to talk too. All we need to do on saturday if they play is make them feel Welcome and im sure with there great talents they will reward us
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 SOD IT! Lets all get really excited at these signings and create a stella attmosphere on Saturday. I'm sure a 30,000, roaring crowd for the first 10 minutes will get them performing. If after 15 minutes we clearly can see they are shit, boo them instead, we will send em back and get some more in - there's plenty of these Hungarians out there! This is assuming they play - but they have to don't they! In a serious note - I've seen Holloway/Penrice pick up some real jems before at Bristol Rovers, Plymouth and QPR so yes, I'm hopeful these guys are what we need, at least for now. True, he bombed Bobby Zamora out of Rovers to Brighton for not a lot which seemed rather silly at the time (and even sillier after.) but I can guess that was an attitude thing or something.
