shen Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 No contender from Underworld? I was trying to keep it reasonable with 'only' 5 contenders Cups, yeah. Also Juanita/Kiteless as you say. Would add King of Snake to the mix. Dark and Long.I'm in danger of not answering the question in favour of just listing Underworld songs. I'll go with Cups (and its equally good remix, the Salt City Orchestra Vertical Bacon Vocal) Deffo Juanita/Kiteless/To Dream of Love, Dark Train and Jumbo for me. Cups, KoS, Push Upstairs, Banstyle and Rez/Cowgirl all tied for second. Yeah, it would have been tough to pick a single contender by Underworld

act smiley Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Right now, Kent - Protection, Sonic Boom Six - Northern Skies, Manic Street Preachers - either No Surface All Feeling or If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next. In five minutes, quite possibly a different Kent or Manics choice, possibly Pink Floyd or The Specials or I dunno what.
Simon Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Interstate Love Song - Stone Temple PilotsI luuuuuurve that tune That, my friend is a GREAT shout. I'll go for one from: Live- White, Discussion Within Temptation- Deceiver of Fools Meathloaf- Bat out of Hell Nightwish- Dead Boy's Poem GNR- November Rain
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 What is YOUR favourite Underworld song?I think it has to be Cups for me. Or Banstyle/Sappys Curry. Or Tongue. Or Moaner. Probably Cups though. Although the first one off secondtoughest is an epic! Aye not bad choices.. nice to see 2 tracks off Beaucoup Fish.. a VERY UNDER RATED ALBUM!!!

And some faves (like I said earlier, depends on mood) Gigantic - Pixies Plug In Baby - Muse Don't Fight It, Feel It - Primal Scream My Weakness (Is None Of Your Business) - Embrace (Back when they were good!) Love Will Tear Us Apart - Joy Division Burn Baby Burn - Ash Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana Creep - Radio head I could go on - but it's pointless - I'd fill the forum

Finnegan Posted 15 January 2008 Posted 15 January 2008 People keeping asking this. It's a totally stupid question. How can any serious individual have a favourite, single song? That concept baffles the fook out of me! I can't even narrow it down to five! *SPLUTTER!!!*I really, really, really hope that's sarcastic! What the hell's wrong with Clapton? YouTube him playing that with Knopfler and tell me it's not an awesome piece of music!

The People's Hero Posted 15 January 2008 Posted 15 January 2008 It's twee, unbelievably so - though I agree with your first statement Clapton has rather earnt the right to twee song here and there, no? He's a sincere man, anyway, so it's not as twee as it otherwise might be.
Zingari Posted 15 January 2008 Posted 15 January 2008 my all time favourite song changes from day to day but its , "spirit of radio by rush" today maybe because it was on in the car as i got out and its been rattling around in my head all day

Exactly. And anyway, who cares if it's a bit of sap? The question was 'favourite' - and regardless of how "twee" you may find it, it's a very nice bit of music. No one asked for groundbreaking, revolutionary pieces of super-art.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 The Teddy Bears Picnic If you go down to the woods today, are you sure of a big surprise?
