purpleronnie Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 If I had to pick one it would be:- WATERLOO SUNSET - THE KINKS
Finchy Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 Great choice! For me, She Bangs The Drums - Stone Roses or Transmission - Joy Division
SamL Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 Two very good choices so far but for me it's got to be T2 - Heartbroken
Trav Le Bleu Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 I would say it depends what mood I'm in. I have difficulty having the same favourite album from one day to another!
WetFlannel Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 I would recommend Metallica - Welcome Home (Sanitarium) to anyone... Metallica appear to be a heavy band and before youve listened to them youll think of them with all this shouting, but this song is so inspirational. Its pure class, and I've never heard a song that flows and develops so well... I'm not too keen on the chorus, but I think this is definately one of the best songs out there... Also, RJD2 - Exotic Talk is a great song...
Libertine Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 Aurora by Foo Fighters is my favourite song (like, totally ever). But there are others that come close e.g. Mayonaise by Smashing Pumpkins Sometimes by My Bloody Valentine Citizen Erased by Muse
Fez of Mahrez Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 Very superstitious... ...writing's on the wall...
lildave3 Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 Very superstitious......writing's on the wall... You there, I have your goods. Whether I remember it on Saturday is another matter.
lildave3 Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 I was expecting some football crowd related bouncing from you tbh.
Durnerz Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 Stone Roses - I wanna be adored Stone Roses - She bangs the drums Stone Roses - Mersey Paradise Ian brown - Whispers Toss up between them lot
Guest Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Interstate Love Song - Stone Temple Pilots I luuuuuurve that tune
James. Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Impossible question blah blah blah BUT... One of these, all chosen for different reasons: Portishead - Roads Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here Dead Prez - Hip Hop There's more I'm sure.
danny. Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 has to be Andain - Beautiful Things with Luminary - Amsterdam or Delerium - Silence in close 2nd place
purpleronnie Posted 10 January 2008 Author Posted 10 January 2008 Don't like much hip hop stuff (I dolike the early 90's stuff). But:- Dead Prez - Hip Hop Is what rap music should be like. Good choice.

I love hip hop although to be honest I rarely listen to that particular tune. I chose it purely because whenever it comes on and I'm out with mates carnage ensues! Some very good memories, it's a bit of an anthem.
shen Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Tough to choose between: Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd A Change Of Seasons - Dream Theater Anesthetize - Porcupine Tree Stairway To Heaven - Led Zeppelin Lateralus - Tool
Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Tough to choose between:Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd A Change Of Seasons - Dream Theater Anesthetize - Porcupine Tree Stairway To Heaven - Led Zeppelin Lateralus - Tool No contender from Underworld?
James. Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 No contender from Underworld? What is YOUR favourite Underworld song? I think it has to be Cups for me. Or Banstyle/Sappys Curry. Or Tongue. Or Moaner. Probably Cups though. Although the first one off secondtoughest is an epic!

I'm in danger of not answering the question in favour of just listing Underworld songs. I'll go with Cups (and its equally good remix, the Salt City Orchestra Vertical Bacon Vocal)
