bringbackWalshie Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 Looks more like a Fo#est top!! I think i prefer the 72/73 kit. Looks classy, might help the players feel classy and play with some confidence
Daggers Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 Pah! I'll trump thathttp://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n241/an...84/DSCN0908.jpg Kids today don't appreciate what it was like living through the tough days of yore - like your family, we could never afford flower or plant pots either. I like the way your family tucked them behind the picture frames...we would lay ours out across the floor.

Jordan Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 How 'bout this for a keeper kit? ...I must say, though, that I love all of LCFC's early '80s shirts.

That's what passed for Christmas decorations back in them there days, a bit of poxy holly perched precariously on top of stuff. None of this flashing Santa on the roof & giant inflatable glowing snowmen waving on the front lawn. Simple times
Finchy Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 I have to say my favourite kit was the black away kit we had a few seasons back. Why have we always had terrible kits tho? It annoys me more when you see teams like Derby and Forest with Adidas and Umbro kits! And there we are with Jako, how many of you had heard of Jako before we got this kit? And Topps Tiles ffs!

Finchy Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Did they? Well ok but they are another club with terrible kits and sponsors TY, they looked so manly with that big heart on their shirts.

Finchy Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 I really like the Derby kit actually, and it's good quality to, too good for them.
WetFlannel Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 I really like the Derby kit actually, and it's good quality to, too good for them. I suppose its opinion really, but I honestly cant stand Derbys kit... The thing is, if Derby had their kit sponsered by Jako, would you have the same opinion of it, despite it being the same design?

Super Arj Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 anyone actually like leicesters kit at the moment
WetFlannel Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Adidas only have the right to produce that design. I was using it as an example, as it obviously wouldnt happen...
Guest Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 What a load of bollocks. We're barely rivals anyway nevermind the fact that Arsenal have a white away kit. The FL won't let us have a white away kit, apparently. If we were in the Premiership, we could have a white away kit. This is what I've been told.

Southampton's looked pretty white when they came down here!To be honest i think we've got it pretty much right.......Blue at home and away providing the home team are not in blue......Then yellow 'cause there isn't a team in our division that play in blue and yellow.......in fact i can't think of a team in the football league that do,unless Shrewsbury still do.

Yeah i reckon i would still like it, but obviously i know that an Adidas kit would be much better quality so i would like the Adidas kit better. The thing about our kit is that it's a horrible design as well as a crap brand.

MADLEVEIN Posted 26 January 2008 Posted 26 January 2008 i hate our kit, i think milan got duped like he did with some of the advice he got with our summer signings. i noticed how lots of teams this year changed to umbro, birminham, blackburn, sunderland, wigan ( owned by mr jjb ),west ham, wba and even hull city. surely if we did have a big name kit supplier we would sell more, i personally wouldnt part with my hard earned money for a jako kit or leisurewear but i would if we had an umbro kit and id say nearly all my mates feel the same. ive got both the kits for my son and the quality is poor, the material doesnt look as breathable as some of the major suppliers imo and the fit is awful espescially the neck line on the away kit. id like to see us change it but we seem to always have the "save money" issue when it comes to kits, when surely quality should be the issue. perhaps some kind of poll or petition to address this might work along with some "photoshop" examples might change the clubs way of thinking.
MC Prussian Posted 26 January 2008 Posted 26 January 2008 anyone actually like leicesters kit at the moment It's certainly not the prettiest in LCFC history. I can live with a manufacturer like JAKO, it's just the fact that the current kit looks very plain. The white shoulder stripe - which doesn't even run down to the sleeves completely - is way too large. The club crest is a very cheap version compared to other kits - why that silly white badge thing around it? I also believe that the printing quality on the front is worse than ever. I don't even mind a sponsor like Topps Tiles, but at least they could've chosen a design that would've blended in more nicely with the overall style. Plus, the colour scheme on the front is not the same as on the back (light yellow vs. gold). All in all, a weird and cheap shirt. Puma does produce great shirts that look ace, so do Nike, Kappa and Umbro. I don't really fancy the Adidas stripes on their shirts. But even JAKO could produce a kit that is more worthwile than this year's.

Jonezy Posted 26 January 2008 Posted 26 January 2008 I really don't think this season's home kit is too bad. Maybe coming after 2 years of JJB ones is helping me to feel this one is quite good. The designs on the JJB ones were simply NOT worth a Leicester City kit, especially last seasons attempt of pin stripes was a joke (look at the Ipswich one this year to see how, it should be done). The simple design of the current one is nice, its just a shame that our shirt sponsor has such a tame logo. Only design problem is the wide neck, which must have been a knee jerk reaction from the tight neck of the last one. About material, I dont think is too bad either. My Le Coq shirts from the year before JJB came in are completely falling apart, especially the letters from the sponsor logo. So compared to them the current one is a bless. Umbro shirts were really cool a few years back, but now they are not particular impressive anymore, and the current Adidas ones look awful too in my opinion. The Nike solution giving every team their own original design worked at the world cup and they still provide some brilliant designs. So I would really only trade JAKO for Nike to be honest. We will never get a perfect kit, which will make every fan happy, but I really want another colour on the away ones, I'm fed up with yellow.
