Ultra Posted 23 January 2008 Posted 23 January 2008 such an ugly ugly ugly place! One or two posters will feel at home then, when they next visit Leicester...
Rincewind Posted 23 January 2008 Author Posted 23 January 2008 Also I can think of a couple of people who will enjoy the conversations. Not that I agree with some of the views. I just go in for the beer and pay my bonus ball money. (of which I won last Sat £30 )and Ruth the landlady is a decent person.

Zingari Posted 23 January 2008 Posted 23 January 2008 I didnt know they had a carpark its not a car park , its a dogging spot for non car owners ( rent by the hour , clean up after yourself)
Rincewind Posted 23 January 2008 Author Posted 23 January 2008 WHy, did she turn down your attempts to wooo her??? I was just reffering to her personality and her ability as a barperson. The closest we get is when she hands my pint over the bar. She pulls a good one.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 23 January 2008 Posted 23 January 2008 I've never set foot in the place myself but a year or so ago my mate was in there with some friends and they all had to leave because the bar staff started playing a CD with what can only be described as 'racist content'. I don't think it's particularly representative of what happens there as apparently there were others there that were less than impressed. It didn't really make me want to go there
Tommy G Posted 23 January 2008 Posted 23 January 2008 It's a bit of a scutty place if im honest. It's not Poachers Bistro in thurlaston Lar Dee Dar!
Bert Posted 23 January 2008 Posted 23 January 2008 Thats near my college. Its bin bag ladys local aswell i think. See her all the time!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 23 January 2008 Posted 23 January 2008 One or two posters will feel at home then, when they next visit Leicester... What on earth is wrong with you people?

She pulls a good one. I'm not a great fan of Barnsley beers, even if they are cheap. But Ruth is very hospitable, always laying on plenty of food for the quiz teams who use the lounge on Tuesdays. The location of the venue doesn't do it any favours though - only 100 yards from the mighty Criterion.
