One or two posters will feel at home then, when they next visit Leicester...

Also I can think of a couple of people who will enjoy the conversations. Not that I agree with some of the views. I just go in for the beer and pay my bonus ball money. (of which I won last Sat £30 )and Ruth the landlady is a decent person.

I was just reffering to her personality and her ability as a barperson. The closest we get is when she hands my pint over the bar. She pulls a good one.

I've never set foot in the place myself but a year or so ago my mate was in there with some friends and they all had to leave because the bar staff started playing a CD with what can only be described as 'racist content'. I don't think it's particularly representative of what happens there as apparently there were others there that were less than impressed.

It didn't really make me want to go there

I'm not a great fan of Barnsley beers, even if they are cheap.

But Ruth is very hospitable, always laying on plenty of food for the quiz teams who use the lounge on Tuesdays.

The location of the venue doesn't do it any favours though - only 100 yards from the mighty Criterion.

Is this some sort of kinky, food-fetish floor show as a warm up to the quiz?
