the_don Posted 23 January 2008 Posted 23 January 2008 As a Northampton fan, I would be both delighted and highly surprised if we signed Fryatt. but I can't see it...Apart from on loan perhaps, but I don't see how that would be what Leicester would want. If you got rid of him you'd want the money, I would guess, otherwise there would be no point in letting him go. Looking forward to watching your lot end Palace's run on Monday
Staf Posted 23 January 2008 Posted 23 January 2008 I can see him leaving in january but i dont think he will go to a league 1 club i can see him going somewhere like Preston

Sniffer-Clarke Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 send him to Plymouth. Fryatt and 1.2m for Norris. Yeah. I will go with that.
Manwell Pablo Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Yeah. I will go with that. ....If they do that they'll have to cut Fryatt in half and send half of him to Bolton. I don't think anyone wants that.

MPH Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Bolton? Bolton have a 50% sell on clause for Norris. it would just mean they value Fryatt at a certain price.. and give the equivalent money to Bolton.... In reality fryatt might be worth i dunno 800k or somthing but in the deal they would value him at 300k and just end up giving less money to Bolton... all sounds wrather complicated though

clazkel Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Does anyone agree that Matty Fryatt should stay at Leicester, he has bags of potential! I think he is a quality player and the last few games before he was dropped i thought he more than deserved his place. He was just getting back to fitness and was looking really pacey. I think he should play up front with Hayles or Hume. I know this isn't in the plans but i really think he deserves his place in the team because of the quality he was starting to show.

All true, but professional football is about effectiveness and for all his talent, how effective is he?

Jack Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 I'd get rid he has more than enough chances to prove his worth and has not really done it up to now. It keeps being said that he has 'potential' but when is he ever gonna show this.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 30 January 2008 Posted 30 January 2008 We all know that if he does fook off it's likely that he put two fingers up to us by looking half decent - so for now, if he's happy, i'd keep.
Staf Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 This sounds like Fryatt maybe or Hume? Gary Megson has confirmed that he is hoping to complete the signing of a Championship striker before the transfer window closes. Bolton have yet to sign a striker following Nicolas Anelka's departure earlier this month. Gary Cahill, Gretar Steinsson and Matt Taylor have all arrived at The Reebok Stadium but Megson is now hoping to tie up a fourth deal. "We do need a striker after losing Nicolas Anelka," said Megson. "There are not many clubs, though, where you can find one who is good enough and available. Hope "We have our eye on one who is playing for a team in the Championship. "It is not so much a gamble, more an opportunity for this player to come and show what he can do
