Unabomber Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Be it a heavy night on the town, a quiet one down the pub, or a social one at home. What is your favourite tipple? For me at the moment it has to be either tiger beer or maybe red wine depending in the occasion/situation.

Other than that, red bull and double/triple/quadruple vodka goes down a treat. Yeah!

General Smuts Posted 26 January 2008 Posted 26 January 2008 Or Else (I feel like im frigging programming again!)
Tommy G Posted 26 January 2008 Posted 26 January 2008 Vodka & Diet coke. Keeps the calories down, get pissed off it. And a hangover is usually avoidable. Compare it with drinking beer/whiskey/cider, you end up with a hang over from hell....and a belly
Rincewind Posted 26 January 2008 Posted 26 January 2008 I don't like to overdo it so I'm cutting down.

Thracian Posted 26 January 2008 Posted 26 January 2008 I've still to find a tipple that beats Barbar's though I've given plenty their chance! It may be a tad pricey but at close to 9% alcohol you don't need lots as one or two on the forum might testify. For a balmy summer's day picnic I enjoy the aperitif wine Muscatel De Valencia, French Sauternes or, purely as a refresher, a robust Pimms and Lemonade with one or two-day ripe fruit and not too much ice. For red wine I'd chose a really full-bodied Chilean Merlot on the warm side of room temperature. So many reds are entirely forgettable taken too cold.
AoWW Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 Pedigree. You're too young!!!! Euuugggghhhhhh! How could you? with at least two glace cherries Glace cherries?! You philistine! .... I'll add my list of favourites later.... haven't got time now and it could take a while!
Thracian Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 There's a new Barbar's in the Swan - a brown version of the famous honeyed beer - and quite delicious too for anyone who fancies trying it. At least that's if they had another barrel, cos we finished last night's off.
