Churchill Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Bori and Laczko for me to start on either wing!! Howard/ Hume or Dj upfront. Hayles is rubbish! Ha! Hayles aint rubbish at all he olds the ball up well gets into good positions and he is scoring goals not the best goals but he is getting them he wins the odd ball in the air aswell and he aint the tallest of players.
SPF07 Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Ha! Hayles aint rubbish at all he olds the ball up well gets into good positions and he is scoring goals not the best goals but he is getting them he wins the odd ball in the air aswell and he aint the tallest of players. He is rubbish, doesnt hold the ball up very often. He offers nothing better than Hume or any different, plus he is not any better goal scorer
SPF07 Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Good work rate, holds the ball up pretty decent, 2 goals in what, 4 games?Curse the twat. And he offers any different to what we have already? hume
Stuliasz Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Some Leicester fans will just never take to 'Target Men' strikers.
Dames Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 I think we will see the best of Bori and Laczko next season, we will see glimpses of what they can do between now and the end of the season and they will have the occassional excellent game. Halmosi went to January last year and has only really found some consistency this season, they are both young and will need time to settle in this country and adapt to the english game. Not good enough for the majority of the people on here i'm afraid. Its stupid to expect them to play aswell as they did on thier debuts every game, Yes thats aimed at you so called 'smarter' people too who have been slating Laczko for having an off day. They do need time to adapt. Will they get it from the people on here? No way.
lildave3 Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 And he offers any different to what we have already? hume Yes, yes he does. Strength, holds the ball up well...besides, even if he didn't offer anything different how exactly does that make him rubbish?
Samilktray Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 He is rubbish, doesnt hold the ball up very often. He offers nothing better than Hume or any different, plus he is not any better goal scorer But he scores?
SPF07 Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Yes, yes he does.Strength, holds the ball up well...besides, even if he didn't offer anything different how exactly does that make him rubbish? Hume has all of the above and scores more, given the chance to play in correct position. Fact
lildave3 Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Hume has all of the above and scores more, given the chance to play in correct position. Fact Hume doesn't have as much strength, and doesn't hold the ball up aswell. They're different players entirely.
SPF07 Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Hume doesn't have as much strength, and doesn't hold the ball up aswell. They're different players entirely. No they are not. lets just agree to disagree. Anyway on with the thread, Bori in my opinion should start along with Laczko
ousefox Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Was it just me or was he just a class above everyone else on the pitch when he came on?I don't remember a pass going astray and he attempted a lot of pretty unpredicatable, difficult, passes. I honeslty don't think we would have won if he hadn't come on as, IIRC, that goal came from a fantastic ball he put in the box. Everyone is raving about Laczko but I think Bori seems a much more rounded and competent player and, I hate to say this, miles better as a footballer than Hume on the basis of last night. Have I gone mad? Anyone else feel the same? I feel exactly the same looked alot better than laczko when he came on!!
Filberts lovechild Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 I don't know what your all on about if I'm honest! I didn't go to it but watched it on the box (had to play 5 a side) But I thought Lackzo looked alright, ok not as impressive as he was against Covscum, but Palace didn't give him as much time on the ball as Covscum, and as someone quite rightly pointed out thats something he is going to have to get used to in England. BUT he cut in well, should of done better with the couple of chances that fell to him, but he created the space for them opportunities. When the ball was on the right you could see Laczo coasting down the left with some space for people to play him in! Bori I think looked pretty dam good when he came on also, he didn't put a foot wrong and looked to be creative all the time. Not sure if anyone's mentioned this already but did anyone see our subs for that game?? Ollie mentioned it after the game, but I mentioned it to my mate when they announced the team, we look well hot from the players we have got to bring on, and thats what changes games and that's what did change the game. N'gotty, Fryatt, Bori, DJ and forgot the other, but all players that can change a game and compared with other championship clubs I think we are in a very good position with the players that we've got in the first team and also players coming in from the bench! Overall, yes a scrappy game, but I think we definately deserved all 3 points and to do that to the in-form team in the Championship shows that we are heading in the right direction, no doubt!
Thracian Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 Not good enough for the majority of the people on here i'm afraid. Its stupid to expect them to play aswell as they did on thier debuts every game, Yes thats aimed at you so called 'smarter' people too who have been slating Laczko for having an off day. They do need time to adapt. Will they get it from the people on here? No way. Of course they'll get it because we have no alternatives anyway. I just see a certain hypocrisy in the idea of saying a goalscoring winger like Gradel needs to go out and get more League experience (despite his six goals in a third of a League season) while two totally inexperienced imports who really should be getting some acclimatisation time are having to be protected by people who insist (rightly) that they need proper chance to settle and are only likely to show their best next season. I've quoted Wenger saying that, broadly, his imports get six months before they're even considered for the first team because that makes so much sense. Do we seriously think we know better than Wenger? I really hope the new boys transcend the problems. Both have shown ability but I do see parallels in the Kaebi situation. "Play him, play him, play him," chanted the fans when he was clearly a long way from being ready. Was that really fair to the guy and did we ever see the best of him as a consequence? Our problem is desperation due to a lack of forward planning. We've needed wingers for ages. And we need em now. But sadly there seems to be very few experienced home-based wingers around or available and when we tried one, Newton, it was a disappointment if not a disaster. Holloway doesn't fancy fighting battles with kids so two untried hopefuls have been given the nod. Right or wrong they're the ones charged with playing our hand out and all we can do now is wish them all the luck they can get from anywhere. It's anyone's guess how they'll do.

James. Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 I would honestly like to see Gradel play. He sounds an exciting player. At the same time I'm currently trusting Holloway's judgement in having him on loan where he will more likely get first team experience and a chance in a real league to show what he's made of. Bori looks very competent. Holloway and Penrice have a good history with Hungarians and just because he's foreign doesn't mean he has to have the X months aclimitisation period. Some players do, some don't. It isn't black and white. Gradel will get his chance I'm sure. And when he does I'll be hoping just like everyone else that he proves himself up to the task.

Bottom of League One. Need I say more? If Bori, Salty or anyone else had joined Bournemouth they'd have run riot down there. Fryatt looked like a world beater at Walsall. Look at him now. Not knocking Gradel down, but he's gone out on loan for his own good. And for our benefit. So let it be. 2- We are Leicester. They are Arsenal. They can afford developing players at their own pace. Their kids + reserves/fringe players get a run in the Carling Cup, and they look damn good in it. Our first team can't even handle Championship oppositions.
