davieG Posted 5 February 2008 Posted 5 February 2008 From CovMad site: TEAM NEWS Wayne Andrews is on international duty with Barbados, so Steve Ogrizovic will have to make changes from the team which won 3-0 at Huddersfield Town last Wednesday. Gerry Taggart is expected to field a young team with a handful of experienced players. Nothing on the OS other than the fixtures
Geo V Posted 5 February 2008 Posted 5 February 2008 Our info via the website has always been terrible and I cant work out why we cant find a competent person to update us with information on the site. Surely it cant be that difficult? Anyway, good luck to the Ressies.
SamL Posted 5 February 2008 Posted 5 February 2008 A strong Leicester City reserve side will take on Coventry City at the Marston's Stadium this afternoon (Tuesday 2pm).Foxes boss Ian Holloway will take the opportunity to give the likes of DJ Campbell, Matty Fryatt, James Wesolowski, Paul Henderon, Bruno N'Gotty, Gabor Bori (pictured), Radi Kishishev and new signing Jamie Clapham a run out on the day. City currently sit in eighth position in the Pontin's Central League table - having amassed 17 points from their 12 games to date. Please note - although this game is being played at Hinckley United, the venue of Leicester City reserve team games, it is a Coventry City fixture. City (tbc): Henderson, Cox, Clapham, N'Gotty, Trialist, Wesolowski, Bori, Kishishev, Fryatt, Campbell, Beswick. Subs: Burns, Douglas, Rowe-Turner, C King, Garner. I wonder who the trialist is?
SamL Posted 5 February 2008 Posted 5 February 2008 Coventry City will be holding a pitch inspection at the Marston's Stadium ahead of today's Pontin's Central reserve team match against Leicester City.Heavy rain overnight has meant that a local referee will be surveying the condition of the surface ahead of the game, which is due to kick off at 2pm. http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Lates...1232810,00.html
Geo V Posted 5 February 2008 Posted 5 February 2008 I wonder who the trialist is? He`s a great player. always scores goals in Scotland
Ric Flair Posted 5 February 2008 Posted 5 February 2008 I wonder who the trialist is? I that that's the chap who knowitall mentioned yesterday a young centre half by the name of Eric. Is that Rab Douglas on the bench? Oh dear.
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 February 2008 Posted 5 February 2008 I thought our reserve team was supposed to be decimated after sending all of our decent players out on loan. That looks quite strong to me.
Cat Burger Posted 5 February 2008 Posted 5 February 2008 I that that's the chap who knowitall mentioned yesterday a young centre half by the name of Eric.Is that Rab Douglas on the bench? Oh dear. Is he Scandanavian, Slavic or Germanic?
Ric Flair Posted 5 February 2008 Posted 5 February 2008 Is he Scandanavian, Slavic or Germanic? Eric Trialist, he sounds Swedish. I hope he's the new Blomqvist.
SamL Posted 5 February 2008 Posted 5 February 2008 Following a pitch inspection, Coventry City have confirmed that their reserve game against Leicester City at the Marston's Stadium WILL GO AHEAD.Heavy rain overnight had meant that a local referee was called in ahead of the match to survey the condition of the surface. And the good news is that the pitch has been deemed playable, meaning that the game will kick off at 2pm as originally planned.
LeeCovFox Posted 5 February 2008 Posted 5 February 2008 Why is an away game being held at Hinckley? I know the town is equidistant from both cities as I live nearby, but I wasn't aware Coventry staged reserves matches there.

Because Nuneaton (where cov play there home games) are playing tonight, and both teams wanted the game to go ahead.
Thracian Posted 5 February 2008 Posted 5 February 2008 I thought our reserve team was supposed to be decimated after sending all of our decent players out on loan. That looks quite strong to me. And to me. Seems like senior first team contenders are now being expected to play reserves football, something I asked about in a supporters meeting at the end of last season only to be told that was unlikely and that the Reserves was basically for young player development. Represents a step forward if it continues because at last the potential first team replacements will have a proper chance to stay match fit, something that has not been the case in the past. Also our oprospects should benefit from playing with players of genuine first team quality rather than people falling off the radar. Interesting to see Kishishev back.

teblin Posted 5 February 2008 Posted 5 February 2008 I wonder who the trialist is? Someone on TB says Worley?
teblin Posted 5 February 2008 Posted 5 February 2008 Harry Worley? The chelsea guy? Yeah could be, be suprised if chelsea let him come on trial. Maybe its with a view to loan him. the sergio image makes me chuckle everytime i see it
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 February 2008 Posted 5 February 2008 Is he from Chelsea? Yes he was on loan at Doncaster last year. yipee.
Ric Flair Posted 5 February 2008 Posted 5 February 2008 Yes he was on loan at Doncaster last year. yipee. Sounds like he should be a rugby player with a name like that. Fook him off.
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 February 2008 Posted 5 February 2008 Sounds like he should be a rugby player with a name like that. Fook him off. I don't think he's very good. I struggle to see why Doncaster haven't snapped him off he has anything about him.
