Asha Posted 11 February 2008 Posted 11 February 2008 If they were to offer 80k plus Simon Whaley i would take it. They're not though are they?
Asha Posted 11 February 2008 Posted 11 February 2008 Hmm, would Hume even wan't to leave? I doubt club loyalty exists anymore, if there's a better contract offer, there's always a chance.
teblin Posted 11 February 2008 Author Posted 11 February 2008 The mirror says 800,000 the beeb had a typo.
Moreton Posted 11 February 2008 Posted 11 February 2008 The mirror says 800,000 the beeb had a typo. 800,000 isn't a good price for Ian Hume, he works hard and if we got rid of him there would be no reason for us to go Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuume when they read his name out on Home match days.
maddog Posted 11 February 2008 Posted 11 February 2008 , i cant imagine it will be £80,000 thats for sure, but i thought he would be worth more than £800,000.Cant imagine Ollie would want him to go or that he himself would want to! You are joking surely? Hume hardly scores any goals, and doesn't really contribute anything good for the team. He just runs around like a headless chicken and gets pissed off hes always playing right wing. He has been here a long time and not done great, hes had his chance. Id sell him if we really are going to start changing the results at this club.

How do you know he's pissed off playing on the right wing? Admittedly he's not as good there as he is up front. Alright so the guys had a few poor games of late, but he ain't the only one but I honestly think selling him would be a mistake.

Absolutely, and selling him to relegation rivals, whatever the price, would be proof Holloway has lost the plot.
Cal Posted 12 February 2008 Posted 12 February 2008 Reject anything lower than 1m for Hume, at least he scores goals. Even if they arnt regular .
dandannieldanok Posted 12 February 2008 Posted 12 February 2008 If Holloway is going to persist on playing him out of position (or not at all like tonight) I'd rather we cash in asap.
Head Honcho Posted 12 February 2008 Posted 12 February 2008 At the end of the day money's not that important anymore, it's about shifting players we don't want and rejecting offers for those we do. I think the money is more important then we all think. MM might have a few bob but you can bet your bottom dollar he'll have a budget for the season and once that's gone Ollie will have to sell to buy... ............or loan as is the case now. £800K is good money for Hume and I think MM and Ollie will take it.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 £80,000?From Tranmere to Leicester That would be poor business. He's been off form recently, i hope he can find his feet again. Yeah off form, but still possibly our best player

But is there not a percentage of next sale clause going to Tranmere?
Jimmy Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 But is there not a percentage of next sale clause going to Tranmere? probably around 10-20%
ronnup Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 I'd be livid if he went. One of the only people that gives a monkeys about the club, we need to have him here.
Ozwin Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 After the sound of his performance so far today, he's our most pivital player.
Polyphonic Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 I know this is totally baseless so most likely rubbish but the bloke who sits behind me in the good ol' east stand, said that apparently hume went for talks with Preston this week but turned the move down due to his wage demands ?!
David O'Leary Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 But is there not a percentage of next sale clause going to Tranmere? 10%
Father Ted Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 If he was to leave then we would struggle for sure.
MikeyT Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 He played a blinder today!! Well done to him and the team! Took his goal really well!
FleckneyFox Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 Alot of whispers around Preston that he was on the verge of going there deadline day but pulled out due to wage demands
accessory Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 Why would he have wanted to move to Preston in the first place?
