Asha Posted 11 February 2008 Posted 11 February 2008 responsible for the processing of orders and more specifically, the actual importation of goods and equipment into the EU and the export of goods on behalf of the business across the Continents of Europe, Middle East and Africa. The team works with a nominated Pan European Freight Forwarder, and can be dealing with any Kimberly-Clark location worldwide. The team is in daily contact with Shipping Lines, Airlines, Customs Authorities, Chambers of Commerce, Freight Forwarders, and most importantly Customers, both internal and external. The purpose of the role is to provide an Import/Export service to the Business and act as a main point of contact for internal and external Customers for all import/export ordering activities and shipping related enquiries to resolution. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Capture orders, process them, organise shipping documentation and procedures as required <li>Receive enquiries relating to Import/Export processes & manage to resolution <li>Proactively manage the Ordering process for planning major activities e.g. promotions, Xmas etc <li>Maintain all relevant systems with valid information in a timely manner <li>Develop strong working relationships with external customers <li>Manage the collection/returns of product process to resolution, when required <li>Develop personal knowledge of all Import/Export Customs laws and procedures <li>Contribute to providing a comprehensive import/Export knowledge base to the Business <li>Generate cost advantage initiatives using available best price shipping costs CANDIDATE PROFILE QUALIFICATIONS Candidates should ideally be educated to A-Level Standard or equivalent PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE <li>Experience in an import/export role essential <li>Experience in a telephone base role desirable <li>Strong Word and Excel skills will be beneficial <li>Knowledge of SAP desirable

Specific laws surrounding export and import to particular countries. Tax. Monitor stock to ensure adequate levels to meet export requirements. Co-ordination with customer importing the goods.

In any case it's Flexi time and it's nearly 20k and I'm well qualified to do it, I could spend the next 3 or 4 years poncing about on here but I'm thinking some different experince might come in handy.
