The People's Hero Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 I don't care, I'm going to have a cup of tea and a chocolate biscuit and continue not caring.Look at you lot caring! How I laugh at you! I'm even biting my thumb at some of you. I refer you all back to my post (above) as a lot of you appear to continue to miss the point.
Bluenose76 Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 So where exactly do we go from here? Obviously something needs to change and despite the misgivings some of us have about Holloway, to sack him now would almost mean certain relegation, sheer folly if MM pulls the trigger. Lets face it Holloway did okay with Plymouth, whats stopping him here? Okay so we stick with Holloway. Now what? Constructive ideas to improve our fortune please. (I don't need to be told to "chill and relax and eat a sandwich") Discuss..

I suggest we find someone who can lift the curse and bless us with good fortune.

Jordan Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 It's the curse laid upon us by Dennis Wise when we kicked him out. I suggest we find someone who can lift the curse and bless us with good fortune. Vinnie Jones.

(I don't need to be told to "chill and relax and eat a sandwich") Discuss.. The 'experience' of some of the players brought in hasn't paid off yet, so the younger players such as Weso, King, Mattock, Shush! and Hayes (bring them back from being on loan) should be played. They may not be as experienced but are wanting to prove theirself and are probably more eager and keen on playing well than the more 'experienced' players. The 'experienced' players are probably here for afew years until they retire, they don't have as much to prove as the younger players do. We need players who we can see are making an effect. At Watford last night the players were static, there wasn't much movement! Also forget playing wingers and play 4-3-1-2, with Fryatt behind hume and Hayles (or even A.Chambers), and Weso, Clemence and Oakley in midfield.
Number1flanker Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 A new manager can always bring new ideas and a new sense of belief back in 2 a side - Take Nigel Worthington when he came - Saved us - Chris Coleman looks a safe bet
Lillehamring Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 i dunno, all this moderation and this thread is an absolute duplicate of this one http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.ph...47213&st=40
clazkel Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 Leicester have been going down hill since Peter Taylor come in and got rid of players such as Walshy and Cottee. Players like these were the heart of the club, who had characters, now we don't have any characters on or off the pitch, we have no long serving players and no-one really seems to have a passion for Leicester like Walshy, Taggart, Elliott used to have. Don't know what can be done about it now but i don't feel like Leicester City feels like Leicester City anymore as there are too many new players (the passion and never die attitude has gone). I wonder if we would still have some of the players from the Izzet, Piper, Thatcher era if we didn't go into administration! (Probably not) Even Danny Tiatto may have not been the best player in the world but there was a presence he brought to the team. Changing the team so much (because more energy and experience is needed) hasn't improved the team yet, so play the young players such as Mattock, King, A. Chambers, Sappleton, Shush! and Hayes (bring them back from being on loan) as they have to prove themselves so give them the chance.
Samilktray Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 Sorry - apart from hiring more managers than the NHS, interfering with their decisions before sacking most of them, paying nothing for the club up front, giving the press cheap headlines, not delivering on them - how have City improved off the field? Well compare our financial state now to before he took over. Quite a significant amount of work has been done on the club off the pitch.
Daggers Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 A new manager can always bring new ideas and a new sense of belief back in 2 a side - Take Nigel Worthington when he came - Saved us - Chris Coleman looks a safe bet Aha - the opposite to the ManU/Arsenal/Crewe philosophy huh? I'm liking it...a different gaffer every week. New blood, new belief in the side - it simply can't fail.

Babylon Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 Give us Ferguson, Wenger or Dario Gradi and I'd be happy to stick too. What did all 3 achieve in their first 17 games?
Manwell Pablo Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 What did all 3 achieve in their first 17 games? in Fergusons case what did he achieve in the first 3 odd years!
Thracian Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 What did all 3 achieve in their first 17 games? Ferguson worked miracles at Aberdeen. What has Holloway done that's the least bit special in his long managerial career?

Thracian Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 Got Plymouth to one of the highest league positions they've ever been in. Big deal. And how long has he been a manager now?
Manwell Pablo Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 Big deal. And how long has he been a manager now? Well it is actually. He did a damn good job there no denying. 12 years, exactly the length of time Fergie had been in management before taking the United job and failing to get close to winning anything for 3 or 4 years.

Joe. Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 Big deal. And how long has he been a manager now? How is that not a big deal Thracian? That in itself is a fantastic achievement.
