What's this word "smellegated" you talk about? :D

Bugger.... I don't like mentioning that word.

I think you'll find I never used the R word. :D

Well Balls is one of the things they are lacking! If they had any they wouldn't know what to do with them.

Can you imagine them playing pass the parcel!

Someone would hoof the parcel to the other side of the room. Two of them would chase after it but bang into each other and fall over and start complaining to their mummies that the other kids aren't playing nicely. Then one of the quieter ones would raise hopes that it was all going to work out well by simply picking up the parcel and opening it. But then the chocolate bar inside will have broken into tiny pieces, leading to them all claiming that the party was rubbish and wanting to go to someone else's.

A positive or zero goal difference doesn't win you games Goals do!

It might work for Brizzel tho.

Currently 2nd with a goal difference of +2, a mere 2 more than our 0. They could even stand to lose a couple of games (which would at least give them the same goal difference as us) and they would still be in a home advantage position for the play-offs.

Then you have WBA who have a massive +25 difference who are 4th, and by no means sure of a play-off place. They probably are the best team in the league at the moment, but that doesn't mean jack. By the same measure, City aren't one of the 3 worst, but again, don't mean jack.

If only it was a case of "one magic ingrediant" - but it isn't that simple. Unfortunately. :(

Goals help tho'

Regardless of how we do against Cardif, if we lose badly to Preston, he's gone I think.

How else could we lose against Preston but badly?

All the flowery football in the world, thumping shots off the woodwork, inspiring great saves from the opposition goallie won't make any difference if we lose even 1-0.

The only currency that counts now is results.

How he gets em doesn't matter.

Who he plays in the team doesn't matter.

Our season isn't about building anything any longer or laying foundations for the future.

It's about winning.

And to do that means it's about scoring those two goals a game I mentioned because it's fantasy to believe we're suddenly going to stop conceding one.

Has anyone wondered how important goals really are and how much difference one more goal a game would have made to us?

Thirty-five points!!!!

And we'd have been sitting proudly at the top of the table on 72 points.

Unrealistic?

Any team can score two goals a game with the right attitude and approach.

Indeed it was what three points for a win was meant to encourage.

And it would be a lot more fun to watch than what we serve up.

The only thing i want served up is a nice 3 points, followed by another nice 3 points, followed by another nice 3 points.... you get the picture??

I just want safety!!

Official Recall Notice:

LCFC would like to apologise to anyone who bought into the Holloway360. We realise that many people were misled by the promises of improved images of players on the field, realistic tactics and expandable squads.

Unfortunately, Mr. Mandaric is not big on maths and did not realise that a 360 degree reversal in our fortunes would leave us exactly where we were before the aquisition of this new game system.

Supporters have been passing on comments in increasing numbers of experiencing over-heating (emotionally) during play. It is advisable to remove the game from the Holloway360 system pending a replacement.

Supporters can opt to exchange their Holloway360 for a Nintendo Wee little Sam or a Sony PlayDowie3

I actually doubt Milan will sack yet another manager. I reckon if he is to take any action, he will bring someone fairly high profile in (dunno who, haven't thought that deeply about it) as an assistant to IH - this way, he won't scare off any future managers or make his club any more of a laughing stock. (Than it already is)

Yeah. im not so bothered about who is our manager right now. The biggest issue is we stay in this league which is increasinly becoming more unlikely.

One could argue that the only way up for City at the moment is to be relegated to the third tier of English football. Let's face it, we have several players who would feel "at home" there. It might just be the kick up the arse for City. If we do survive the drop this year, what happens next season? How many of the current playing staff are out of contract, and how many still have a year, 2 years and more left? Does MM pay them off, and we get in another 15 new players?

As for the manager, I like IH. I would give him more time, perhaps up to Christmas next season. I see little point in bringing in another manager now, or before the end of this current season. What would be the point? If IH does make it through to the end of this season then rest assured... he will be here for the start of next season.

Im still behind ollie. I'm not sure why, but I just feel as though he is still the man for the job. I hope milan doesn't make any rash decisions. If Ollie stays, i reckon next season will be a cracker.
