The Stig Posted 28 February 2008 Posted 28 February 2008 I will reserve all judgement until I have seen him play. I don't know what to expect from anyone who plays for this club anymore.
The Reverend Posted 28 February 2008 Posted 28 February 2008 Would of been happy with this 6 months ago, now not so much. Undoubtedly he has talent and is a good player, hes still relatively young, hopefully he will be the answer to our prayers. Not holding my breath though.
Sods Posted 28 February 2008 Posted 28 February 2008 I will reserve all judgement until I have seen him play. I don't know what to expect from anyone who plays for this club anymore. Exactly how i see it.
Vo Rogue Posted 28 February 2008 Posted 28 February 2008 I must admit Holloway signing Hendrie well known to be an arogant BIG TIME CHARLIE is a bit baffling considering all that stuff he said about wanting players that were good honest hard working family men or something along those lines. He's well known to be a complete willy puller, can't see him doing any kind of "job" here whatsoever, it seems shef utd fans are more than happy that he's been palmed off to us as well. GREAT. Another one in front of Weso. Can see a possible loan request soon to play somewhere.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 28 February 2008 Posted 28 February 2008 I was up about Hendrie, then I read this thread and I was down. Then I disregarded this thread and was up again. On the other hand, I'd much rather have Gareth Williams back.

teblin Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 Does he even get any games for Watford these days? Out with a cruciate knee injury.
Darkzzz_ Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 The best thing i have heard regarding Lee Hendrie is that a croatian i used to work with was drilling his then missus whilst they were together. I did manage to see a few pictures very very graphic.... In his own words " I owned that ***" But anyway back to the football.... I really hope he makes a impact, like someone mentioned above i would have been excited by this 6 months ago but now i am very sceptical.
STUHILL Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 Like most, I would have loved this 6months ago, think he snubbed us though to be honest. Lets face it, he is a twat. BUT even though he hasn't done well at Sheff United, I still think he has the quailty in him at 30, to be a very good player in this league. I am little concerned to see how he will play on the wings, but he's surely got an eye for a pass and scored some cracking goals in his time at Villa. To me, there is no risk here, Ollie needed someone to come in, would have prefered a skillful, pacey winger like Sinclair but Hendrie will do and he could help us get those few vital wins we need. There was talk of 2 loanees, so hopefully, we may still get that skillful pacey winger we need!
FilboFox Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 Another one in front of Weso. Can see a possible loan request soon to play somewhere. I hope we don't sell him... he's one of the players who is quality and has some passion...
purpleronnie Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 Anyone else thinks he looks like a cross between a leprechaun and the singer out of new york city dolls?
Chromophobia Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 he has got that "mouth too big for jaw" thing doesn't he.
Thor Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 There's no doubt he has ability - can't be so sure about his attitude. Some Stoke fans I know reckon he is a complete waster, always whining to the referee, feigning injury and trying to get opponents sent off. They are glad to see the back of him. Let's hope we get the player not the prima donna.
Brainy Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 Some Stoke fans I know reckon he is a complete waster, Surely part of that is because he rejected the chance to join them permanently last summer?
Thor Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 Surely part of that is because he rejected the chance to join them permanently last summer? They were saying that last year, when he was playing for them - but let's hope they are wrong. Every time I've seen him play he's looked the business. He could provide the spark we need.

MikeyT Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 Ummm a bit of useless info for you but he's staying in a house in Syston! There you go told you it was useless!

MikeyT Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 Whereabouts mate? Apparently Weavers lodge...wherever the hell that is! Ive lived in Syston for nearly 8 years but dont know where it is! EDIT: Its on Barkby Lane!

EDIT: Its on Barkby Lane! When Robbie Savage played for Brum I saw him pull out of Barkby Road in his Porsche (because I'm sure everyone is really interested).

Scow Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 Bear in mind he's had to play under the management of Bryan Robson - the man who still seems to get jobs despite being crap. He'll probably play on the left like he did whilst on loan at Stoke - and by all accounts he did a terrific job there. Laczko hasn't really adjusted to the league yet and the only viable alternative we have to play on the left is Mattock. Obviously he's not a conventional left winger, but he's got that spark that Oakley lacks. That's not saying Oakley isn't creative, I just feel Hendrie is perhaps more forward thinking in the way he plays.
