shrood Posted 21 March 2005 Posted 21 March 2005 can get this seasons for a tenner now though....pretty decent....
Mark Posted 21 March 2005 Posted 21 March 2005 It's not bad, better than the current one but then i think the current one is the worst we've had in my lifetime, too plain. I like the white socks, looks much better
adam Posted 21 March 2005 Posted 21 March 2005 the worst kit ever was the one a few yars back with the massive colars. Very nice shirt, like the yellow bits. defo looks better close up
Fox in a Box Posted 21 March 2005 Author Posted 21 March 2005 Scowy can you out together a vote for the new kit design then? see what people think.
Wellman Posted 21 March 2005 Posted 21 March 2005 I went to look at it and thought it would be really horrible, but how wrong was I!!!! I quite like it, but it's very similar to this years one and it's only for 1 season! Good job JJB!!!

Totally different!!!
Katy Posted 21 March 2005 Posted 21 March 2005 Now ive seen it close up - I like it even more, hopefully as it is for just one year there will be a radical change in the next kit that SHOULD last for two years.
Nationwider Posted 21 March 2005 Posted 21 March 2005 its crap away kit should be like the old "ind coope" green and yellow striped shirt. 81305 That would be brilliant!!!! 81310 I'm not sure we ever won a game in the green/yellow stripes! I stand to be corrected, though...
davieG Posted 21 March 2005 Posted 21 March 2005 One year cycle explained: Here Unfortunately it cuts no ice, in plain cost terms 2 years @ 36.99 is considerably better value than 1 year @ 35.
Durnerz Posted 21 March 2005 Posted 21 March 2005 Amazing kit, I love it, the back design is like Brazils blue shirt!
Anish Posted 21 March 2005 Posted 21 March 2005 "Our research and discussions with other clubs indicate 44 per cent of other Premiership and Championship clubs operate home kits on a one-year cycle and the trend is moving further in this direction."We would point out that our new shirt is our lowest-priced for 10 years and costs nearly eight pounds less than our home shirt in 1999." City join another 19 clubs in the Premiership and Championship who are operating their current home kits for one season. Other clubs with home kits on a one-year cycle are: Arsenal, Aston Villa, Birmingham, Blackburn, Everton, Manchester City, Middlesbrough, Tottenham, West Brom, Brighton, Burnley, Cardiff, Coventry, Crewe, Gillingham, Milwall, Preston, Stoke and Watford." That's a joke We have always had 2 year cycles (apart from the first LG one) and now it looks like we're going to have 1 year cycles for the foreseeable future. Just cos other teams only use 1 year cycles it doesn't justify their decision to rip off the fans.
Sparky Posted 21 March 2005 Posted 21 March 2005 i like the shirt but hate the 1 year cycle idea . we still waiting for the 2nd and 3rd strips to be unveiled - 2nd i would like just a reverse of the home shirt colours with it white blue stripes for 3rd id quite like another black number
Ash Posted 21 March 2005 Posted 21 March 2005 I like it, Think it looks stylish and alot more modern that the one we have currently!
Cobbo Posted 21 March 2005 Posted 21 March 2005 Like the kit, don't like the one year cycle. I would suggest that no one buys the kit as a protest and then Mace would make it a 2 year cycle But I bet people won't do this...please try to realise that the Club are really trying to screw you.
Nationwider Posted 22 March 2005 Posted 22 March 2005 I would suggest that no one buys the kit as a protest and then Mace would make it a 2 year cycle 81547 Absolutely agree. Here's the chance for everyone who's slagged off Mace to put their money where their mouth is. Here's a 2-step plan: 1 - Don't buy the new kit. 2 - Wear your old one again next year. Then get one of these instead.

Ric Flair Posted 22 March 2005 Posted 22 March 2005 I can't see why everyone has a problem with the one year cycle? Granted, people get angered when they know they'll have to shell out more money but if wearing a Leicester shirt is that important to you i'm sure £35 a year won't stop you. That is about 67p a week that you'll need to save, not alot really. I also think it's good to change a strip every year as it gets boring seeing them in the same shirt, in any other walk of life you wouldn't want to wear the same clothes for two years, it gets boring. I swear some of you moan for the sake of it, why not have a moan about the choice of machine that has made the new shirt aswell.

Guest Posted 22 March 2005 Posted 22 March 2005 I still have a compensation voucher, so the new shirt will cost me nowt!
Solihullfox Posted 22 March 2005 Posted 22 March 2005 Please, please stop moaning as if you are the exploited masses who are forced to purchase your club colours ! It's you who makes the choice to buy the shirt or not. If it's ok to spend your money AND BE exploited on whichever designer fashion label of clothes you wish and in all likelihood wear them for a considerably shorter span of time than your city shirt - then for goodness sake shut up complaining about shirt cost and shirt cycle's. The shirt cost is the shirt cost. The football club is a business. The more money the club makes from shirt sales, the more money can be made available to strenghten the team. The more shirts sold can directly influence the standard of player brought to the club and therefore influence where our team will be playing football over the next few years. The shirt is fine. The cost is reasonable within it's marketplace The one year cycle allows us to go out and get the best sponsorship deal The one year deal may mean the club has a larger income Be thankful we have a club run by people who have put their money in to ensuring that Leicester FANS get to see football, they are doing their level best to put LCFC in as strong a position as possible - stop feckin moaning FFS.

The main problem is the way in which the Club does these deals and then presents them to the fans in a very much take it or leave manner. What would be wrong with some honesty from the Club, less spin from the Club and a process that engages the fans when the Club fleeces them of money so that fans give up money willingly rather than begrudgingly.

Ric Flair Posted 22 March 2005 Posted 22 March 2005 I think the club are abit sneaky at times with certain things, the same with most clubs. Infact this goes on in all business and as customers we do have a right to be treated properly. But I have found that since reading Leicester messageboards that if allowed alot of fans will moan about anything they can whenever our club proposes to do something. If you don't like it, then don't buy it or do something about it. Otherwise you just sound like a mardy bitch with a 3 litre coke bottle up her ass.
