I wanna see a diamond again, personally.

Henderson

Stearman - N'Gotty - Kisnorbo - Clapham

Wesolowski

Bori ---------------------------------Mattock

Hendrie

Hume - Howard

Something like that.

I definitely think it's time for Wesolowski to come in and make a name for himself. Around about this time last season he was bought back in by Nigel Worthington and he was superb for us in the remaining few games.

Oakley has disappointed me recently, especially given the rave reviews that Derby fans gave about him during their season of disaster this year.

The two Hungarians are blatantly not wanted here any longer, I can't see any other reason why Ollie has completely left them out right now.

We are in desperate need of a left winger though.

Henderson

Stearman

Etuhu

Mattock

Hume if fit, if not Fryatt.

Subs: DJ, Hayles, Oakley, Clemence, Worley

On a serious note, I'm now supportive of the idea of throwing the youngsters in. They at least will fight, I'm sure. Kingy, Wes, Beswick. Perhaps even....Sapplezilla?

If we play 4-4-2 DJ has to start for me. Would be tempted to play Weso with Hendrie like yourself Ric. Both always run there socks off and arent shy of putting themselves about abit which i think Clemence and Oakley both lack in.

Crucial game. I'd go for this team.

Henderson

Stearman---------McAuley---------Kisnorbo-----------Clapham

Etuhu-------------Oakley-----------Weso/King---------------Hendrie

Howard---------Hume (Fryatt if not fit)

Although Hendrie is probably better in the middle, we need more strength down the flank and I don't feel Mattock gives us enough going forward. For that reason, I'd shift him to the flank where he's looked good when he's played there.

Well now I'm just offended. :P

I've just realised that this midfield is theoretically possible.

Hendrie - Wesolowski - Oakley - Clemence.

It just won't happen if Holloway's still in charge. He's shown he will choose experience over youth every time given chance and, just like Kelly, it's beginning to look as if it's going to cost him.

Although I'd certainly choose one there are pro's and cons to using Weso and King considering how little football they've played recently courtesy of Holloway but the player I'd definitely use now is Beswick.

He's the only genuine left winger we've got and the only one who will pass the ball quickly enough and accurately enough to guarantee some chances. He also takes far better free-kicks/corners than anyone else we've got and he's pretty cool if he's given a chance to shoot.

No it's not a foolproof idea. Good managers would have given him some first team experience before we reached this stage.

But Beswick's qualities won't be found in anyone else we've got as a left-sided option. He probably releases the ball quicker than any other player at the club and this will help speed our laborious attacks. He also aims his crosses for players rather than the space they might be running into.

Finally he's defensively aware, willing and reliable. He's not a risk taker but a passer and a calculating and intelligent one at that.

My team, assuming Hume is still unfit:

Stearman, McAuley, Kisnorbo, Clapham;

Oakley, King, Hendrie,

Campbell, Howard, Beswick.

subs:

Chambers, Mattock, Wesolowski, Etuhu, Fryatt/Hayles.

Just to add a bit more to this.

I really do not want to see Fryatt and Hayles start wide again. It's done nothing to benefit us since they've been there. Don't say West Brom either, they were completely absent before they went down to 10 men. Then they finally got the space they needed, which they won't against 11.

I think the team that I've suggested will/should create plenty of chances. We're lacking goals and all the midfield and strikers will get chances I reckon. If Laczko can improve his final ball he will do ok, he seems to link well with other players and he could provide the width Howard needs.

I doubt we'll see anything close to this team, but it's what I'd go with.

This is the 4-3-3 team i would like to see, but under Holloway im yet to see the team i wanted, or the team that should really play.

I agree with that pretty much chedley, except I'd swap Etuhu with Bori and Hume with the DJ.

Worley in for kisnorbo  Kisnorbo got owned for the 2nd on saturday. Although maybe nows not the best time to experiment :P

The problem with that Ched is that Bori hasn't played since Feb 26 turning out for 57 minutes for the reserves whilst Laczko hasn't played since Feb 14 when he completed 64 minutes, unless I've missed a 1st team appearance and neither were fit before then.

In fact the reserves haven't played since 26th Feb meaning all the fringe players like Weso and King will be nowhere near match fit. How a club of our stature can allow this to happen when we are in crisis is beyond belief.

Yeah, fair point Davie.

That's quite bad actually, these leagues are supposed to be there so players can stay match fit when they're not in the first team. :dunno:

I could live with Etuhu wide right, definitely. But then Mattock hasn't excelled at left wing, leaving us lacking a genuine left winger. I still wouldn't dream of putting Clemence there. Maybe if Weso can manage a full match, unlikely I know, but I'd be tempted to throw Hendrie wide left. Did well there against Cardiff.

This is the sort of game where we need to be creating chances and scoring goals. Hopefully gaining confidence for further games. We need as many attacking outlets as possible.

I mean with Hendrie right-wing and Clem left (which he can do apparantly)

Yeh I know what you meant

But those two are mainly CM's so will drift inside and we would lose alot of width, not like it matters as we try and pass the ball forward about twice a game.

My team would be:

...........................Henderson......................

Stearman.......McAuley.........Kisnorbo.....Mattock

Etuhu.......Hendrie..........Weso/Oakley........Hayles

................Hume........Fryatt............

Subs: Howard, DJ, Weso/Oakley, N'Gotty, Clapham

or wingbacks as i like it when Stearman gets forward but i feel if he has Etuhu in front of him he will be defending alot as Etuhu wont get back to defend so this:

..........................Henderson................

............McAuley......Kisnorbo.........Clapham

Stearman...........................................Mattock

.............Hendrie............Oakley................

.............................Hume...........................

..................Hayles.......Fryatt...................

Subs: DJ, N'Gotty, Howard, Etuhu, Weso
