S****horpe Pre-Match ****

Leicester City duo Iain Hume and Jamie Clapham are rated as doubtful for Saturday's Championship clash against S****horpe United. Hume twisted an ankle in the build up to the Hull City game last week, while Clapham has a groin problem.

But while both players will be given until the last possible moment to prove their fitness, it is thought that the Iron contest will just come too soon.

Boss Ian Holloway said: "Both players are responding well to treatment, but I have to say that they are rated as doubtful at the moment. That's a blow to us.

"It's disappointing, but their absence will simply give someone else a chance." Meanwhile, Holloway confirmed that he didn't expect any ins or outs on the transfer front ahead of today's 5pm deadline.

He added: "Although it is impossible to rule anything out, I do not envisage making any moves ahead of the deadline. We have got a strong squad here and I have got every confidence in these players to get us out of the situation we currently find ourselves in."

I ****ing hate home matches. I see this one being no different.

Expectation at the start of the match dashed by yet another lack luster performance.

Moaning all the way through from the ground.

Stewards attempting to ruin afternoons further.

A late Scunny winner or leveler.

But I hope and pray that I'm wrong. To be honest, if we don't win on Saturday, we don't deserve to stay up.

Roll on Saturday.

Not bothered about Clapham out, Mattock more than able to fill that gap. Hume little disapointing but like Ollie said, just gives someone else a chance. Clemence may come back in, so Hendrie may push to the right or left.

With Hume out it will be imperative to use Campbell's pace.

And what will he do about Clapham? Play Mattock at left-back and 4-3-3?

Play Mattock and another makeshift winger like Hendrie?

Play Mattock and reintroduce Laczko?

Or play Mattock and a proper winger in Beswick?

Hope Leicester win

Don't we all.

As Ched said if we don't win this we don't really deserve to stay up.

We'll be having dozens and dozens of chances, all being wasted, but eventually one will go in via Sir Barry's arse. All well and good at that point. But then in 83rd minute some average football league journeyman will hit a 30 yarder into the top corner to level matters.

If we don't win this, we might as well call it a day and prepare for life in League One.

We wouldn't be in this mess if Carl Pentney hadn't been cruelly denied his rightful spot between the posts by the two evil men hell bent on our miserable failure and eventual destruction.

I concur.

I hate these home games where we are expected to win. We do a lot better as underdogs. Which is why I think we'll **** up against either Scunny or Colchester but we'll nick 3 points away at Sheffield United, just to even things up.

I don't expect us to win. I'm 100% certain we'll have to earn the right to win from the first minute.

To me that's important because I don't think we get at teams quickly enough and I don't think we ever try to sustain pressure for a whole game.

We're forever playing cat and mouse and it's the wrong attitude.

We have to impose ourselves on games and that means contesting everything from the off and attacking/defending in force.

All through this season I've seen no reason why we shouldn't win and the same applies Saturday.

It's hard to imagine better than 2-1 but my bet will be for 3-1. Campbell to score first.

Mind you, if my result predictions had all come true this season we'd have won the title already. :D

If we lose we deserve to go down. The big match is Sheffield Wednesday, the last home game

That's a massive game, but I'd rather it wasn't all left until then. We can do ourselves a massive favour by winning on Saturday. At the moment I'm fairly optimistic, providing we don't repeat the Hull performance (which, aside from Wolves is the worst I've seen us play this season). The signs of improvement, in terms of creating chances was there before that game, and then we created sweet fook all.

It just depends which Leicester team turns up. If it's the team that turned Norwich and West Brom over and battered Bristol City then we'll have no worries.

As has been said above though, if we lose this then we bloody deserve to go down.

I think this will be 3 points to be honest. Playing a poor poor team who have lost like 4 of their last 5. Our players will be up for this as it is an important game. I can only see 3 points in the bag for this to be honest.

Yeah but Preston was also on a dire run.... until they met good old nice sweet Leicester City who handed them 3 points.

Yeh and we've done it lots of times before.

But this time I just feel the players know they actually have to pull out a performance and jsut think they will to be honest.

I'm going for 3-0

I hope that you are right ;)

Personally, I cannot see where we are going to get 3 goals from, I think we'll scrape a 1-0 win. I'd love to be proved wrong though.
