SamL Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Pundit on Johnstone paint trophy Final He's probably trying to advertise himself for a potential job.
Flynny Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 I hope he sorts himself a nice job soon, he (probably) didn't deserve what happened to him here.
Jay Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 I hope he sorts himself a nice job soon, he (probably) didn't deserve what happened to him here. but it's also a (probably) did deserve what happened to him here!! nobody knows exactly what went on and some very very poor players were signed last summer
Flynny Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 but it's also a (probably) did deserve what happened to him here!!nobody knows exactly what went on and some very very poor players were signed last summer Many of them by McKay and Mandaric. Hellings in particular springs to mind as one that wasn't his fault. At least half of them were perfectly good signings.
Milky Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Shocking stuff from the officials today. How are we supposed to show respect when a fat linesman does that.

Milky Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 What the fook are you on about? He flagged for offside then the ref gave a pen a few seconds later. For some reason they didn't talk and the pen went ahead. Should've been given offside. At 0-0 a huge turning point.

Should've been given offside. At 0-0 a huge turning point. Then that is the Referee's fault for not talking. The linesman was surely right for giving offside but the Ref wrong for ignoring him?
Simi Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Then that is the Referee's fault for not talking. The linesman was surely right for giving offside but the Ref wrong for ignoring him? Surely the linesman should contact the referee via the mic's they're wearing.
filbertway Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 I hate this stupid **** You hate everything and everyone though
DB11 Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Surely the linesman should contact the referee via the mic's they're wearing. The only match officials that have mics are PGMOL Referees. Eg. Premiership Match Officials. The Referee for that was not a Premier League Official therefore he didn't have the mic set to use or give his official

To not use some sort of technology for a final at Wembley is stupid.
DB11 Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Well they still have the buzzers on the flags, no?To not use some sort of technology for a final at Wembley is stupid. Only if the Referee has purchased buzzer flags. Admittedly, however, once the AR saw the Referee had indicated a push, you could then see him telling the other players penalty, push and indicating a push. However, the guy he was flagging for offside was not intefering in the first instance The only equipment Referees are given are the PGMOL Referees. All the others have to get there own (I think, anyway )
Uncle Albert Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 All the money the FA rakes in and they cant even supply correct equipment to all Ref's and Linesmen across the Country. Surely when a team collects five bookings this fine they have to pay could easily cover that.
Stevosevic Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 The linesman flagged for Offside before the alleged push. The referee pointed for a penalty - Grimsby players were furious - the linesman then claimed he flagged for the push, before it happened. T**t

The referee pointed for a penalty - MK Dons players were furious - the linesman then claimed he flagged for the push, before it happened. T**t You sure? Why would they be furious for getting a penalty
Stevosevic Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 You sure? Why would they be furious for getting a penalty Good spot, i meant Grimsby
