Rodders Posted 4 April 2008 Posted 4 April 2008 So, Hume out, Hendrie missing, Fryatt possibly out, Campbell possibly out, Hayles banned, Etuhu possibly out. We're running out of attacking options. We're going to have to revert to Megson football if this doesn't get any better. Defenders all round.
Simon Posted 4 April 2008 Posted 4 April 2008 Think a draw up there will be a good result for us but I can see us sneaking the win and getting back to back victories for the first time this season. The team (I think) will be: HendoStearman Kisnorbo McAuley MattockBell Oakley Weso LaczkoCampbell HowardSubs: Fryatt, Worley, N'Gotty, King, J. Chambers

Chambers id be happy with a draw, id be pretty happy if we set up like that aswell, just make sure we keep the ball down because out of those laczko is probably the only one reaching 6ft, i say use the wings catch them on the break and really smash them up in the midfield because they can be a threat! good call on the team selection there!

Chambers Campbell is out. Fryatt will start, Billy McKay has been included in the squad but he's unlikely to feature. Would it be worth trying Laczko upfront? With Bori on the left, or the right and swap Bell over to the left.

dandannieldanok Posted 4 April 2008 Posted 4 April 2008 Very light up front now Campbell has bit the dust, is this McKay quick?, because we have no pace up front with Howard and Fryatt.

lildave3 Posted 4 April 2008 Posted 4 April 2008 So Fryatt and Howard are our only fit first team strikers? Is that right?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 4 April 2008 Posted 4 April 2008 Providing he's not injured, I think that Weso should start. No doubt this will be a scrappy game between two sides down at the bottom, and his almost pitbull-like qualities could be the perfect antidote to breaking up the play of some of United's more creative players. I'd go for an ugly City win by the odd goal.
Daggers Posted 4 April 2008 Posted 4 April 2008 (ankle) to score... ...I think we can all guess what.
Koke Posted 4 April 2008 Posted 4 April 2008 So Fryatt and Howard are our only fit first team strikers? Is that right? They are our only recognized strikers - Ashley Chambers might be included in the squad but I doubt he'll feature. It's the sort of game where Fryatt can prove us all wrong and show that he;s still got it. If he plays great tomorrow, he's more likely to keep his place next week and the week after. So I hope he grabs his chance with both hands and plays a blinder.
C-man Posted 4 April 2008 Posted 4 April 2008 I hate Sheffield United. For no reason other than the fact that they play in red and white stripes.

mikelcfc Posted 4 April 2008 Posted 4 April 2008 what pubs are we all going to then? im getting the train and i hear theres one just outside the station so il be in there dunno about any others
Unabomber Posted 5 April 2008 Posted 5 April 2008 Go up the road and there is a nice little pub called The Brown bear, has some quality ales. There's also a few weatherspoons in the centre which are fine, and if you see a pub called The Frog and Parrot then thats always a good bet. I recommend a pint of The Frog's Bollocks.
lildave3 Posted 5 April 2008 Posted 5 April 2008 No-one making a dash for match-thread starting then? Sure, why not.
Flynny Posted 5 April 2008 Posted 5 April 2008 Sure, why not. And with that, another thread is consigned to the history books. Or something.
