Bolton look almost certain to go down now, hilarious.

Since Megson took over on October 27th he has won 5 in 23 prem games, and lost 12. Thats only just over one point per game.

I HOPE we can play them next season. Will be a total laugh "Shoes off if you hate Megson"

It is funny yeh, but he was with us for about 5 mins so I haven't got that much hatred for him. Many people in his position would have done the same so I don't blame him!

Bolton are in a much better position than Leicester though

Well potentially we could be in League 1 and they could either be in the Prem or Championship. With a much better crop of players.

I would have saved this thread until we are (if) safe and they are relegated, otherwise there is a potential egg on your face scenario!

I'm just not really that bothered about Megson. He came to us, did a pretty decent job and then left when a far better opportunity came along. Fair enough. He never really said anything to piss me off and the bottom line is I reckon we wouldn't be in the mess we are now if he had stayed. Big conclusion to draw but that's just my opinion.

That said he is ginger so yeah I will have a laugh at him.

I must admit I thought he'd keep Bolton up easy, it's not worked out that way. There's no way of knowing if he'd have done a better job with us.

His record was no better than the rest of the season as per my post from earlier.

Megson was here for 7 league games during which we conceded 5 goals + 2 more in a cup game over all we've played 38 league games and conceded 35 goals. ( 41 in 42 games)

So this Megson gave us a tight defence is a myth, yes we had a tight defence during his time but we had a similar record before him and a similar one since he left and since we've played 31 league games (now 35) without him can we please desist from giving him the credit because he doesn't deserve it.

His games were tight and boring, you might just as well blame him for our fantastic goals for record which was abysmal under him and has been ever since.

Having said that, like you I think we would be higher in the league with him than we are with Ollie.

Lesson learnt hopefully for Mandaric, you screw people over and people will do exactly the same back. I for one don't blame Megson for going, a disloyal move defintely, but who would want to stay at this club. He came to us to get back onto the radar and moved to better himself. Even if Bolton go down and we stay up, apart from fanbase they're better in every way.

I've nothing against the guy and hated the football fayre he put on offer, but he was made to feel deeply unwelcome as soon as he got here and that sucked.

Hume at least doesn't hide and is again our top scorer for the season.

Fryatt on the hand has contributed very little apart from that goal at Villa (and even that was a mis-hit).

I would bet a handsome amount of money that come this time next season, whether Megson is still there or not, they will be closer to the premier league than we will be. In addition, it is still possible they'll survive and we go down anyway, but if we're both in this division as many expect, I reckon Bolton will be higher up than us. Phil Gartside might be a dickhead but as far as I know (I may has missed something), he has not been investigated by the police for fraud or whatever it was that Mandaric was hauled in for. Also, their squad, even with a mass exodus is likely to be better than ours because of parachute payments and I highly doubt Bolton are making operating losses at all, never mind the £5million and counting we are. That's why I believe, apart from fanbase, I believe Bolton are a better club than us. LCFC, minus the loyal following, is rotten to the core at the minute, and has been for four years now. It's not nice saying this but it is what I believe to be true.
