James. Posted 9 April 2008 Posted 9 April 2008 Shit even I find these rallying call posts annoying and patronising but I won't feel satisfied until I've said my piece. I can't really afford to go to Barnsley but I'm gonna go anyway. I don't give a shit whether the players deserve our loyalty, I don't give a shit if we deserve to go down. The bottom line is we have 4 games left to save our season and, given that I don't see us killing it in League One, to some extent save the short to medium term future of this club. I urge every one of you on here to muster up every last bit of loyalty and passion to support this club over the next few weeks. Some of you don't need to be told that and I respect you for your commitment. It's more than I have shown even though I am hampered slightly by where I live. But for all those who are in two minds about going to 1, 2, 3 or all 4 of the remaining games stop procrastinating and book your tickets. The fans DO make a difference. We have a massive part to play. For those at Sheffield on Saturday it's that kind of support, that level of voracity, that unerring, unwavering passion that everyone must show from now on in. So cancel your other arrangements. Make your excuses. Spend that extra £50 and do everything you can to save our club.
Joe. Posted 9 April 2008 Posted 9 April 2008 Tonight is the first time I've really felt pessimistic about our chances of staying in this division. So I'm going to echo JTB's words. This team really does need us fans at a time like this. Right now we're staring relegation in the face and we could be playing in English football's third division next season. If you made the trip to Deepdale at the end of last season you'll know what it felt like when Nils eric popped up to score that winner. It seems that Barnsley will be another game like this. It could be the game that makes us or breaks us. But I'm sure that atmosphere at Preston last year helped those players, it was a special day. So here it is- Leicester City needs you. As JTB says, break those plans, or make them if you haven't already. Be a part of our survival battle and make a difference.
leeleic Posted 9 April 2008 Posted 9 April 2008 I've done nothing but think about the game against colchester since last weekend, we lose, then i'm afraid thats it. But i was there for scunny, i'll be there for colchester, i'll do my upmost to get to barnsley and i'll be there at wednesday. This club, the players, claim to give a shit about us, yet i'm seeing no evidence of that, but even if when they pull that shirt over their head and feel nothing and hence show nothing, they will not dampen my spirits and my voice will not whimper. I'll stand and sing until it hurts, this club means so much to me and for as long as they grace my life, they'll know about it. One day, i like to think, that the club will sign the players which share the passion, drive, desire and commitment the fans do. They'll be the players that bring sucess back to this club and we will truly love them for it. Forever blue
Koke Posted 9 April 2008 Posted 9 April 2008 As I said somewhere else, I'm usually a glass half-full man, and the most optimistic bloke you'll see but I'm shitting myself now. I was in two minds in regards to going to Barnsley, but I'm certainly going now. It's now or never, and at Oakwell is all or nothing.

I don't know, really am considering saying i'll go the races there is one place left on the mini-bus to go...very tempting, been told I can decide on the day, so I think i'll do what our players do, wake-up on the day and decide if I can be bothered.

Err.. yeah! Err... that's the spirit! Erm... On a general note, quite what it's going to take to wake some of our fans up I have no idea but hopefully this is it. We need this now. Like JTB says, there are many people this doesn't apply to but for the thousands of people sat in the Kop who suddenly woke up for the Birmingham home game last season... Make an effort on Saturday.

Sorry, I go to the football with the idea of enjoying it, a good atmosphere? I may enjoy it abit more, but as it goes i'm not enjoying at the moment. Chances are i'll still go the game, but all i'm saying is at the moment I know which one i'll enjoy more.
Raj Posted 9 April 2008 Posted 9 April 2008 I'll be up for it on Saturday. may even have a double expresso before hand! HAVE IT! :bounce:

I aint hammering anyone BUT do people REALLY goto City to enjoy it? Really??
Flexx Posted 9 April 2008 Posted 9 April 2008 Im there for the next 2 games definitely. Not sure about Sheff Weds, but Stoke hopefully Nah seriously, no more messing about like at Sheff Utd. This is serious business, and if we keep praising the players and manager for sending us down then they are not going to react. We need to give them encouragement. Im all up for having a laugh and singing funny chants, when we are safe of relegation. But in the relegation zone they need us to keep urging them on. And never give up. No booing at half time if we havn't scored yet. Just let them no we're behind them.
harpendenfox Posted 9 April 2008 Posted 9 April 2008 I aint hammering anyone BUT do people REALLY goto City to enjoy it?Really?? Always full of excitement and hope on the way up the motorway or on the train. That feeling usually evaporates around 3.03. Although against Hull the other week I felt depressed at 2.56. I just knew we were going to get mullered.

Although against Hull the other week I felt depressed at 2.56. I just knew we were going to get mullered. true But surely no one wakes up on the Saturday morning and thinks "oh im gonna really enjoy myself watching City today and play some really decent football" Most people probably go for a laugh with mates (or to get pissed) or to let off steam and just want to support their team that they love. If you want enjoyment you'd goto G Spot in town!!!

Scow Posted 9 April 2008 Posted 9 April 2008 I wasn't planning on going Barnsley, but fu ck it - one of the defining games in our history. I might be on the verge of skintness - that's where credit cards come in. Yeah.

Thracian Posted 9 April 2008 Posted 9 April 2008 I did try to write something rousing before the S****horpe match and at least we won that one. But the manager's a communicator. Surely he's well able to prepare a battle group. If not he'd be better employed on the turnstiles. Right now the thought of our situation is like being told that gangrene has set into a wound. Something drastic needs to be done. The manager's task is straightforward enough. He has to get everyone operating to maximum effect. That means getting individuals and the team to feel like they're unbeatable and that, whatever the obstacle, they can still prevail.
