Koke Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 QPR on New Year's day was one to forget. I had a shit New Year's eve, arrived at Loftus Road with only a few hours sleep and was still recovering from the night before. I can't remember shit from that game, and that's probably a good thing.
Ultra Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 Yesterday was excellent, though not quite as good as the West Brom game. Most awaydays have at least seen quality pubs. Cov was the exception though. That has to be the worst awayday of the season (so far..)
Tommeh Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 Considering our dreadful league position some of the aways we've had have been simply brilliant. As it's been mentioned in other threads this season has been by far my most enjoyable. Best: 1. Barnsley 2. Chelsea 3. Forest 4. Sheff Utd 5. Bristol C 6. Accrington 7. Villa Special mention also to Burnley, it may have been one of the worst games I've ever seen but the night as a whole just felt so right. Only decided we were going at 3pm that afternoon. Not knowing where we were going, college at 9am the next morning, as I said it was just so right going all these miles to a not particularly nice place on a freezing December night with 300 other city fans. Great memories. Whichever league we're in next year, i'll thoroughly enjoy myself. Sheff utd. was just a reminder to our fans that the result should not dictate an away game.
Floating Fox Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 Best.Forest. Chelsea. West Brom. Barnsley. Accy. Palace. Sheff Yoo. Worst. Charlton. Hull. Cov. Great day!
syston_fox Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 Best (not in order): Forest (part 2) Chelsea Blackpool Cardiff Sheff Utd Barnsley West Brom Worst: Forest (part 1) - felt sick after that match from what had happened Charlton Coventry Hull
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 I know it wasn't this season, but i think Deepdale of last season is worth a mention. Barnsley last season was special too, as it was on saturday. The right results just when we needed them, ok by no means the best performance but frankly i'm not that fussed - the win was crucial as is the next game against Weds. Same again please!!
Maybes Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 Great shout. It was possibly the worst atmosphere .....ever
Tevez Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 It was possibly the worst atmosphere .....ever Hull was worser.
filbertway Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 Blackpool, although the polishman taking a crap on the motorway was good before Accrington
lildave3 Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 Blackpool, although the polishman taking a crap on the motorway was good before Accrington They're your only two, of course you're going to say them!
Guest Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 Barnsley, West Brom, Sheff U (just for the sheer comedic value of the day, not the result), Chelsea & Forest were my best Charlton, Cov and Watford (partly cos I was well fecking ill that night anyway) are among the worst. First time in ages I ain't bee to QPR away but i was just having far too much fun away from London on NYE to trek back down there the following morning
filbertway Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 They're your only two, of course you're going to say them! Well there was villa and forst #1 but yes.
Sods Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 Now to edit. Worst. Southampton Tuesday night. Forest the 1st.. Norwich. QPR!!!!!!! My word that was shit.
Corky Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 I've been to five away matches this season, and the best one in terms of atmosphere was Sheffield United, worst has to be Ipswich (for the result and the way we lost).
clazkel Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 I've enjoyed many away games this season: Chelsea (can't believe we were so close to beating them!) Sheff Utd (fans were ace and i had a great time even tho we were never in the game. Stearman showed alot of passion) Barnsley (fans great and win topped it off, HUUUUMMMMMEEEEE) West Brom (Fans stayed behind team even tho we went 1 down, amazing) Villa (great win, Matty Fryatt du du du du) Forest 2nd game (Poor Clive Clarke in first game, always great when we beat Forest) Worst away game i've been this season has to be: Watford (can't beat 10 men)
GavinWardmeLord Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 Barnsley was the first away game I had managed to get too this season, but I had a feeling it would be great as its one of those places I always enjoy going, and boy did it not let me down. Right from going on the train, police escort to ground, Hume's winner and funny trip home it was a great day. As good as Joachim's FA Cup night and Coatsworth's 2 goal game under Little !! My best but only because it is only one !!!

GavinWardmeLord Posted 24 April 2008 Posted 24 April 2008 The Ward was superb in the Tranmere game. I see Little has him at Wrexham now though !!
Stevosevic Posted 24 April 2008 Posted 24 April 2008 Best - Chelsea and Forest Part 2 Worst - QPR and Forest Part 1
The People's Hero Posted 24 April 2008 Posted 24 April 2008 GAVIN WARD ME LORD - GAVIN WARD! I've heard that Gavin chants that EVERY night before bed time.
