<_< Thats not true of us all. What a generalisation.

It's exactly like me saying all Welshmen shag sheep when all know it's just the majority, you should be ashamed.

For the record, all Frenchmen do sell onions on hooped t-shirts. I've seen it on TV.

I could understand people from those countries having a problem with Nazism but having a problem with the German nation as a whole is a bit stupid and naive.

Thing is I've never really suffered any persecution so it's hard for me to know how I would react. It's a difficult one. I imagine there's loads of Welsh out there who couldn't give a f**k what happened years ago. They have moved on. For me, that is probably the best course of action.

Well Nazi Germany's a bit of a different case, imo. There are probably better empires to compare the British to.

And yes I imagine there are a lot of Welsh people that either don't know or don't care a whole lot about our past. We are, in all honesty, a very lethargic nation! But as an angsty and politically charged young man I have to say the chip on my shoulder has swollen considerably. I'll keep babbling on until someone believes me that I don't, really, really don't hate the English. I just think that people should take less of a dismissive, denialist stance on the way the English / British treated other people.

The Wind That Shakes The Barley is a classic example of this. The amount of English journalists that INSTANTLY leapt on the defensive over that, quick to call it pro-IRA propaganda and anti-English abuse was just disgusting. It's as anti-Irish as it is anti-English and the realism of the situation is that the British were that hostile to their neighbours, the Black and Tans were a vile and abusive force and that people should be aware and at very least just acknowledge that our country, our empire did these things to people. Slowly in our films and our media and our history lessons we're just about beginning to learn of and admit to the attrocities we committed to the African and Asian populations but yet it's still so immensely difficult for English / British people to admit they were vile and oppressive to each other? It should be a big deal and it should be acknowledged. I'm not saying the British should live for decades apologizing but I do think that people should be considerably less dismissive.

Also that is why Derby County are called the Rams, due to the huge migration of Welsh men moving to Derby for the mining jobs and finding absolutely no attractive females from derby they were left with the local farm animals to satisfy their desires upon  Dirty Bastards :giggle:

Also in terms of Weapons and Army. England is second behind America and if anyone started on us ... We could just run to our bigger harder brother America and they would sort it out :giggle:

America rule the world and we our America's butt buddies = We're pretty much a superpower.

Unless of course they decide to ignore us when someone invades. Falklands.........

Thats such an arrogant attitude to have. ''If anyone started on us'' If anyone started on us mate then that would probably spark WW3 considering the connections Britain has with other big economies. We could be switched off like a light as we rely on the other big superpowers for imports as were an Island. russia could easily turn off the gas? Or the middle east stop supplying oil? Unlikely but it could happen.

Our economy is massively Tertiary orientated therefore offer little exports other than services, we rely so much on imports its unbelievable.

You've got a lot to learn if you thinki America could ''save our ass'' Times will change in the near future, and fast.

This is getting silly, yes Britain has done some terrible things in the past, but it has opened it's door to many, those from the commonwealth, europe etc. The tyrant that was England\Britian, is no longer applicable!!!

The Welsh and Scotts etc are very lucky, compare it to many freedom movements of many nations within democratic confederations, they have been subject to mass genocide, rape and continuing tyranny.

National days are a pile of cock. They aren't needed, they just promote Xenophobia and secularism...not forgetting a bit of religious bigotry.

It'd be much better if we just had Xbox360 Day or Alan Shush! Day

Only among muppets & the un-educated!

I think it would be quite easy to turn St Georges day into a big pissup certainly where im from we celebrate St Paddys in this way. Any excuse :D

P.s What would be our equivalent to Guiness?

I'm a mixed breed. Mongrel type, i go from place to place, country to country. I float around the earth like a free spirit. I belong to no country or government!

Though I would say Welsh distaste for the English is far more understandable than the visa versa. Likewise anyone else on the planet (and let's be honest, there's quite a ****' few) you've shit on from a considerable height.

I personally Haven't shit on anyone from any varying height! :dunno:

You write with the mentality of your average bigot putting people of certain nationalities etc in the same outdated box!?
