Scow Posted 29 April 2008 Posted 29 April 2008 Just 8 years ago this was an FA cup tie between Premiership Leicester and Conference side Hereford. From next season this could be a league fixture.
Nationwider Posted 29 April 2008 Posted 29 April 2008 League 1 (x2) FA Cup (+ replay) Johnstone's Paint Area Final (2 legs?) League Cup Semis (two legs) Shock late entry for both sides into Intertoto Cup (final over two legs) That's a massive 10 games against Hereford to look forward to... Blimey.

SamL Posted 30 April 2008 Posted 30 April 2008 Edgar Street - One of the few highlights of last season. Wouldn't mind another visit, but only in the Cup. It would be devastating having to play them in the league.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 30 April 2008 Posted 30 April 2008 As I recall we struggled to win that one. Paul Parry a thorn in the side that night?
Joe. Posted 30 April 2008 Posted 30 April 2008 Hereford have won at the Walkers once before you know Conference Playoff Final 06/07 Great game as well!
Sparky Posted 30 April 2008 Posted 30 April 2008 When i 1st got with the missus some 8 years ago she wanted to go on a date on a wednesday night and knowing she also followed city i "treated" her to my spare ticket for the Hereford replay which we scraped 2-1 with Muzzy nicking the winner . Next year we could well be playing Hereford which is also the year we are getting married !!! HEREFORD IS MY DESTINY

Corky Posted 30 April 2008 Posted 30 April 2008 I remember the Cup match in 1999, we were about sixth in the Premiership while Hereford were in the Conference, yet we were a post's width of going out at Edgar St. Then in the replay, they took the lead, before Matty Elliott equalised, and Muzzy headed in the extra-time winner. I never ever imagined watching that night, that 9 years down the road that it could be a LEAGUE fixture
Ashley Posted 30 April 2008 Posted 30 April 2008 Which match? Leicester V Hereford at there place. I was only 8 or 9.
Corky Posted 30 April 2008 Posted 30 April 2008 Leicester V Hereford at there place. I was only 8 or 9. I was at the replay. God that was close and nervy.
Head Honcho Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 I was at the Hereford game on Saturday and what a bloody atmosphere. The fans were superb and there was such a buzz about the place. We'll have some good away days next year and the City fans will be a credit to the division.

If we don't play the "big club" line, and accept where we are and get behind our team, then we'll be a huge advantage.
