Ian Holloway Shows Players Foxestalk Images

Why on earth would one go and shout at him? Bang out of order, that's for sure.

Keep it on a civilized basis.

But at least, I'd discuss this abysmal season and ask for an explanation from him, if I had the chance.

I'd like to hear the reasons for some of the tactics and substitutions, I'd like to hear which players failed to follow instructions and what transfer targets fell through along with the reasons.

I'd like a bit of the truth.

I hope she has broad shoulders considering the brainless crap half this board have been trotting out.

If anyone's seen the worst side of Ian, then it's her. By his own admission, he's no Michelangelo's David

She could call herself AnotherofHollowayswomen.

:angry::glare: I'm not to be replicated. :P

Like I've said before, I have nothing against Holloway the person, just the manager. I do feel sorry for him in his personal life, it must be awful to deal with, and I admire him for that. My criticism of him is not personal, it's against his management style.

Nicely put.

Showing the players pictures of sinking ships is his idea of motivating them to win on Sunday? No wonder he's the statistically the worst manager in club history.

Feeling sorry for himself is my overall impression. Doesn't sound like someone who thinks they're going to win.

My thoughts exactly.

I've said it before, using shame and guilt is not an effective motivational technique to use on players who are already lacking in confidence. Sure it can be effective with a successful team that have had a sudden drop in form, but it's not going to help a team that have already had their fill of shame and guilt over the full season.

Now's the time for Ollie to be telling them that they do have what it takes to win at Stoke, drilling into them the positives of their past performances, telling them what they got right, trying to build their self-belief and confidence. Pick the team early, as they did for Barnsley, get them training as a unit. Get them playing for each other, allow no negativity or recriminations on the picth or in the dressing room. Maybe it's a bit late, but a siege mentality is what is needed right now.

urgh, i feel pretty sorry for the guy i've got to say. it's not soley his fault we're so poor - i just can't put my finger on what's wrong with this club. can't say that i think showing the players how much we hate them is gonna help though!

Can someone post the picture of Holloway as a clown for me please.

thats most unfair

what have clowns ever done to deserve that ?

Stupidest thing he has ever said, without a doubt.

I know, at some point he must have said "Stevie (Howard), you are doing a great job for the team, the fans love you, keep it up".

Posted
"My wife found it actually," he says. "She likes to have a look through these sites to see what the fans are saying."

Personally, I think Mrs. Holloway should join Foxestalk.

Maybe Mrs. Holloway is already signed up

Alright Ollie. I started that thread and it was my idea. It was just something to kill the time as Sunday couldn't come quick enough for us. And all those pictures reflects the clubs for the past 4 seasons.

If you win on Sunday, all his forgiven. Not that I had anything against you in the first place.

And to Mrs Holloway - Hello there

I think he meant the one I posted in ''Sum LCFC up with one picture"

And it was meant to be the Leicester City squad picture

Great stuff... nice to see that he's looking on here and seeing what we all think... sort of.

I really hope he stays as he knows what needs to be done and I guess we can't really sit here and comment as we aren't there training with the players and knowing what needs to be done. :dunno:

Yes, he's made some odd tactical decisions but I still think that he'll sort us out next year... hopefully in the Championship.

Also good to see he's angry though... shows he's got the passion to try and sort us out... as I keep saying, why can't the players have the same sort of drive!?!

 How can anyone come on here and say he is feeling sorry for himself and using that as a sob story to save himself from receiving a P45!

I think alot has been said about holloway and the players over the last couple of weeks that is way way way out of order. Ok we havent done particularly well this season, and ok i as a fan am slightly embarrased by our position. However this is our club, he is our manager, and the players are under contract with the club we love!!!! i support this team, i very rarely slate players, unless i think there performance was awful and lacked commitment.

I think the players have shown grit, determination and drive over the last month or so (admitted this is to late), and you cannot fault them for that. Holloway obviously loves this club, and has passion and commitment. He is right, people have given up on him and the club already!!! infact most Mark laurenson even thinks were in the bottom three even though we are not!! (anyone else hear what he said on football focus?).

Ollie and the players if you do look on this site before tomorows game! their will only ever be one way to shut your critics up! and that is to give it your all, play with passion, drive, commitment, and most of all beleif in yourselves.

The amount of people who have already resigned to relegation is radiculous!! we are not even in the bottom three atm!

I creid when i read that article, because his commitment and passion towards this club and the game flows out of that interview! and i havent heard such passion for a long while.

I have every confidence in my team! we can do this tommorow. If we dont, i truely beleive Ollie should stay, he is a quality manager, and has proved he can build a good squad. This club needs time to fix itself, one season was never going to be enough to fix this club. We need to win tomorow and set REALISTIC targets for next year! there was always far too much preassure from start to finish this season! i would hate to be a player/manager at this club you cannot bloody win.

One thing it proves and something I've stressed time and again - what's written on here does get read within the club.

As for the Guardian article I don't think his passion for football or the club particularly shines through.

His sensitivity as a human being comes across as does the fact that he puts football in proportion and his family where it belongs - right at the front.

Individually I'm sure I would like the guy and want to help him but as a manager he simply doesn't convince me at all, either in the current crisis or in the matches leading up to it.

I wish it were different cos it would be a real pleasure to finally have faith in someone and to be able to settle back and finally enjoy Leicester City playing some proper football and basically from one end of a game to the other.

I didn't want him but I certainly wished him well when he came and even briefly wondered if he might be on the right track when he cleared some deadwood to make to make much-needed space.

But tactically, motivationally, psychologically, with his preference for aged loanees whose ability and fitness was obviously questionable and his inherent caution I've been disappointed far too often.

If he somehow comes through and proves me wrong I'll admit it and be pleased for him but the result of tomorrow's match won't be anywhere near enough. It will just be something to be grateful for.
