So, we didn't make it. Got relegated in agonising fashion against a team that played absolutely horrible football. We were even worse...

It's probably going to be the same next season. And maybe the one after... and after...

It's very sad for me in another way to you fans in Leicester. Unless we make it far in one of the cups and meet a big team, I probably won't be able to see a single game over here in Copenhagen for a whole season :(

Hope a lot of you will stay on here and post and report about games and players as I'm relying quite a lot on this forum to keep in touch with City...

Chin up though, I believe we'll get up again 2 years at most :D Time for Gradel, Chambers, Odhiambo, Sappleton, Mattock, Wesolowski, Logan, Stearman, Worley, King, Beswick and McKay to shine for the young Foxes!

If we keep our best players, or to put it another way, they repay our loyalty by showing some themselves, I'm confident we'll be promoted.

Henderson

Stearman

Kisnorbo

McAuley

Mattock

Bell

King

Weso

Gradel

Hume

Sappleton

There's a good enough team to win the league. Question marks over Stearman's, Kisnorbo's, Mattock's and possibly even McAuley's futures mean we might have to start the season with a whole new defence, assuming Sheehan makes his move to Leeds permanent.

Obviously we wouldn't mind releasing Howard and Hayles, but Hume is the big one to keep. I can't see him staying but he recently signed a new contract and you never know.

2-3 seasons.

We're going to lose the majority of our first team and some of the youngsters which have been touted as being our saviours will go as well. We'll probably have a new manager too.

With such a re-building job needed, to expect us to go back up in the first season is dangerous thinking.

The manager and team should just concentrate winning the next game, on building a good team spirit, of developing a winning mentality. Then we can see where we end up at the end of the season.

2-3 seasons.

At first I thought we might go straight back up but I'm not so sure. It really depends what happens in the summer. We have a decent core squad of players who I think are capable of getting us back up- with a couple of decent aquisitions and some deadwood clearing out we could do it first time.

It's hard to say when we don't know who will be in charge and what squad we put together.

You will do very well to get out of that league in 1 season.

Stop hooting you.

You will do very well to survive in the Championship next season.

2-3 although I actually clicked 3-4 by accident! It'll be a long hard struggle but we'll get there.

I have every confidence we'll come up straight away.

We might be dogshit in the championship but i feel we'll have just that little bit extra for League 1.

If you look at all the big teams that have slipped into the 3rd division recently ( Forest, Man City, Sheff Wednesday), none of them came straight back up the next season. It's going to take us time to rebuild.

I didn't know Man City were in the third tier?

He speaks from experience.

So we may aswell listen to what he has to say about it.

Will it be easy? No.

Will we walk it? No.

Does it need development of and additions to the squad? Yes.

Should we accept anything less than Champions as our goal for next season? Absofriggenlutely not.

As far as I am concerned the board has to make its mind up over Holloway before Friday - if we are going to have to go through the new manager bollocks again then get it done quick. Then give whoever the manager is the clear direction of the goal and the money available to go shopping with, highlight the players for the chop and start the job of achieving promotion on Saturday.

So, thank you Division Three - it will have been fun and we promise to keep in touch but we really have to go now, the babysitter looking after our Championship spot will need to be getting back home.

:D I'm not having a go I'm just being realistic. League 1 is no pushover which you will soon find out. Teams will raise their game against you, or put 10 players behind the ball and try and frustrate you. I hope to see you back up soon but it is not going to be easy. You have a squad full of under-achievers who have struggled at this level for years. You need to re-build and get a winning mentality back into your team. It won't happen overnight. You'll do very well IMO to go up at the first time of asking.

As for our season next year it will all depend on whether we get the investment. Without it I agree we will do well to stay in the CCC. With it we should be aiming for the top half of the table.

It was about 2000 I think, Dickov scored in the play off final for Man City against Gillingham I think

Next season is going to be really tough. Every team that play us home or away will be throwing everything at us, because we will be the team everyone wants to beat! As some one has previously said it's going to be a bloody ugly hard long season, saying that I think we'll be ok and my prediction is play offs! Which is something I have really missed!
