Now is the time to stick by the manager

Why, why, why would you want Allardyce or Davies. Give yourselves a break. Just for once embrace a real opportunity. Get someone who's prepared to ATTACK.

I really believe one of the problems with today's fans is that some of them have never seen Leicester City attacking for any length of time or with any real conviction let alone ny regularity.

They certainly have no concept of what I mean by attack.

Kevin Keegan's Newcastle attacked when they won the Championship title and so nearly won the Premiership.

That's attacking.

A team so commited to getting forward and peppering the opposition with shots that they put the fear of God into whoever they were playing next.

Just from what we've got, assuming you could get everyone on board, you could play:

Alnwick;

Stearman, Worley (provisionally), Sheehan;

King,

Gradel, Hendrie/Weso, Beswick/Porter;

Hammond, Hume, Dodds.

Subs from: James Chambers, Mattock, Weso, Beswick/Porter, Bell, McKay/Fryatt, Ashley Chambers, Worley.

Just look at it. Potential goals all over the place, high up the field support and plenty of pace to recover if necessary.

King could slip back to make a second centre-back or forward to join the front three.

Beswick or Porter could cover for Sheehan going forward, free kicks would be lethal and defenders would never know a moment's rest with City having nine potential scorers.

Why, with fast defenders and four good passers in midfield, would I normally need more than three "defenders" to look after two strikers? Especially with Beswick/Porter also able to slip back if necessary, allowing the back three to shunt across.

Fast-pressing strikers would be an additional bonus, more so if we kept Campbell or got Ashley Chambers in top form.

I'd defy any division one defence to keep that lot out.

Everyone get real.

Paul Ince, Why would he leave a stable job at MK Dons. Look at what happened to MA.

Darren Ferguson, Why would he leave what he is building at P'boro.

Bill Davies, OK clubs aren't queuing up for him. But we've messed him around before & does he want to be in L1.

Allardyce. GET REAL! He was being touted as England boss not long ago.

So that leaves Dowie.

Great, fcuked up Charlton, fcuked up Cov. Great lets have him.

Absolutely spot on. The names being bandied around are laughable, they aren't going to take the bloody job.

Looking at Ollie over the past few weeks, i think the pressure got to him. All last week he looked like a nervous wreck to me, and in his pre match interview he looked and sounded like a defeated man. I know changing managers and using too many players is one of the main reasons we are where we are, but it really does need a change. Keep Ollie and I think the air of negativity surrounding the club will remain, but bring in a new manager (hopefully Ince) and it should bring with it a wave of relative optimism and we can hit the ground running in league 1, unless of course if its Dowie.

Seriously, in 24 hours.

People on here think Sam Allardyce will be our manager and we will walk the league.

Reality Check Please.

And bring who in?

Ollie should be given until Christmas.

Dont be so absurd........

What a pity when appointed last November we didnt give him till that Christmas. He is a twat that has tried to babble his way through managing a club far too big for him and he has been very clearly out of his depth.

Exactly. We will need to rebuild, we wont walk the league but I'm getting more optomistic about next season, hopefully we will get a playoff finish.

Would you give ebola until Christmas as well, before you tried to do something about it? :o

Cos he's having the same sort of effect, sending us into football oblivion.

I am as gutted as everyone else, I think we should stick with the manager it is a time for stability and although this has been the worst weekend (barring berievments) in living memory we must take stock and build again we will be back and we will be stronger.

KEEP OLLIE

I can't believe there are people trying to argue with that analysis.

He doesn't deserve a second chance and the owner of the club (Mandaric or his successor) should not give it to him.

There are plenty of alternatives out there, all of which would have far more credibility with fans than he does.

Paul Gascoigne (with Britney Spears as assistant) would bring more stability to the club than the current incumbent..

!

I doubt there would be many strikers who wouldn't fancy scoring past that defense either!

Call me old fashioned, but how will replacing a not very good manager with another not very good manager help?

Holloway's had a horror, but he has the edge over the other mediocre managers that might take the job - the incentive to put things right and restore his reputation.

If I thought there were managers out there that had a genuinely better chance of doing better than him and were likely to take the job, then I'd say get rid. Realistically though, what people are talking about is replacing one turd with another that smells a bit different but still smells of shit

Posted
This is my point.

It's time to be slightly more realistic.

Nobody said that.

Realistically as you say I want Walsh to be the manager along with Gerry Taggart.

Well there you go. Our saviours.

Leicester legends soon to be forgotten when the fook it up.

Fantastic.

And you know they will fook it up because?

Ow yea I forgot you are an expert on the game and you know so much on how a football club should be run, thats it.

How silly of me.

Come on mate. Wake up & smell the roses.

I want Taggart & Walsh involved as much as the next bloke, but for Walsh to be thrown straight in as manager is too much.

If Holloway is out, then Dowie is in, regardless of who we want.
